Storm Reid’s Baby Blue Dorm Room Is Her “Sanctuary”
In Amazon’s Dorm Roomz web series, Storm Reid shows off her 450 square foot dorm room, which happens to be very blue. It’s a fitting shade of blue, too!
Reid’s been keeping herself busy between starring in a new film for Paramount Pictures and as the little sibling in HBO’s “Euphoria,” but the 19-year-old has also been juggling full-time classes at the University of Southern California. While college tends to keep the actress busy in her time away from the screen, decorating and curating stylish furniture for her dorm room seems to be the most exciting part of her time at USC.
In a recent interview with Essence Magazine, Reid shared that “My on-campus apartment plays as my sanctuary, my study hall, my entertainment space. I love entertaining and having my friends over for movie nights, or we just all pile up in my room and study.”
As the tour begins, Reid makes it clear that baby blue is her color and is represented throughout most items in the dorm. The baby blue microwave is an immediate eye-catcher, but the real star of the show is Reid’s armchair, deemed as an essential part of her music-listening corner. To mimic this chic corner of her room, find a comfortable armchair and add a few accent pillows, similar to the ones in Reid’s curated collection.
In the kitchen of her spacious dorm, blue cabinets are spotted in the background of Reid’s video, but you can’t ignore her secret stash of cookies in her cabinet. Prior to reaching the kitchen, she stated that she hasn’t finished organizing her shoe rack, but the kitchen cabinets may benefit from turntables or bins to organize her abundance of cookies. Last but not least, Reid’s mini WiFi-capable projector is perfect for entertaining, especially movie nights and game nights.
Reid isn’t the only Gen-Z star that recently showed off their space for the series. Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee, social media influencer Joshua Cureton and TikTok creator Aisha Rae have shared their picks. After purchasing your basic school supplies for the semester, you can shop the entire collection from Reid and others on Amazon.
