Bath & Body Works’ New “Stranger Things”-Inspired Candles Will Turn Your World Upside Down
Even though we won’t be getting new episodes of Stranger Things this summer, Netflix has been tiding us over this week. Days ago, the series shared a new teaser for its fifth season — which looks totally epic — but something else just happened that’s even more exciting. On the heels of its stellar Bridgerton-inspired line, Bath & Body Works just launched a Stranger Things collab, and the first drop includes candles inspired by the hit show.
If you’re missing the show as much as I am, these three-wick candles are the perfect way to fill that Stranger Things-shaped hole in your heart, transporting you to Hawkins, Indiana and reminding you of your favorite characters. The scents are just as unique as you would expect from the show, and I have no doubt that once fans catch wind of them, they’ll fly off shelves. The fact that they’re $10 off right now will only add to the fervor — so keep reading to find out which scent you should snag!
First up is my personal favorite: Eleven’s Waffles. I’m sure we all remember Eleven’s obsession with Eggos, and now, you can fill your home with the scent without having to whip up a batch. The notes feature maple syrup and melted butter, to boot. Even if I wasn’t a Stranger Things fan, that’s more than enough to have me sold — and Bath & Body Works’ three-wick candles burn for up to 45 hours, so your space will smell absolutely delicious for a good while.
Another one that’s caught my eye, as a self-proclaimed ice cream (and Steve Harrington) aficionado? Inspired by the character’s summer gig in Starcourt Mall, Steve’s Scoops offers hints of vanilla ice cream, waffle cone, and parlor sprinkles. I’m sure we all wished we could visit Scoops Ahoy when it was introduced in Season 3 — well, before we found out that it was actually a front for a Soviet base that was investigating the Upside Down. But that’s neither here nor there.
If you want a scent that’s a little more out there, there’s one that takes after the wacky, fan-favorite character of Season 4, Argyle. Notes of baked pizza dough, cheese, pineapple, and fresh basil come together in Argyle’s Pineapple Pizza candle. Once you get a whiff, you’ll feel like you’re smack dab in the middle of Surfer Boy Pizza, the Californian joint where Argyle works.
Last but certainly not least is a more classic fragrance that even Hawkins’ curmudgeonly Chief of Police, Jim Hopper, would approve of. You can start your mornings with “coffee and contemplation” — as Hopper famously says — by lighting this candle, which has hints of coffee grounds, tonka beans, and a splash of half and half. Like all of the other candles in the collection, it’s a soy wax blend that’s formulated to provide the best fragrance experience possible, burning cleanly and evenly from start to finish.
Taking after Netflix, which has begun dropping its series in two parts, Bath & Body Works will launch a second half of the Stranger Things collection on an unspecified date — so keep your eyes peeled! For now, add these to your cart before they’re gone.
