I Can’t Stop Buying These $15 Boxes From Target (They’re Real Marble!)

There is an unspoken rule about living in a cozy home: The need for boxes never ends. You need them to move in and to move out, of course, but these containers are also vital to the chapters in between. Boxes keep items in place and ensure clutter doesn’t take over every available surface. They make necessities easy to find, and tuck less important things away. In other words, storage containers share the responsibility of keeping your life in order — or, at least they do for me. 

I use storage containers in nearly every room of my home. The only reason I can claim to be even somewhat minimalist is because there’s always a box to hide things in. And when it comes to finding budget-friendly, stylish storage boxes that are on 24/7 display, I’ve found that one big-box store does them best: Target. 

Target dedicates an entire aisle in its home section to storage boxes and baskets, and there’s another section in its office department for desk options. Even more decorative box offerings are scattered throughout the store. What I like most about many of Target’s in-store options is that aesthetics are balanced with function. So if you want to use a box to make a design statement, you can.
