Picture frames are one of those home decor staples that always seem to cost so much more than I’m willing to spend. That’s why thrift stores have long been my go-to source for inexpensive frames. But when I saw this TikTok rounding up some of the recent gems from Target’s Bullseye’s Playground section, I realized I may have been overlooking another source for this tough-to-buy home find.

The video highlights some adorable bud vases and purse-shaped vases before turning the camera to some miniature picture frames that cost just $3 each. They’re glossy and rectangular — one with white and sage green stripes and a periwinkle perimeter running around the edges, and another with sherbert-orange stripes and a pink-red perimeter.

The background the frames come with (one floral, one a strawberry print) are cute as is, although these would be perfect to slot your favorite family photos or travel mementos into. Whether you display them on your desk, dresser, or mantel, they’ll add an instant dose of cheerful color and whimsy to the space. For just $3, I’m tempted to go buy some in bulk and keep them on hand for friends’ birthdays and other moments that call for a cute-meets-sentimental gift.

If you come across some photos you’ve been meaning to frame while spring cleaning, these are the perfect way to make sure they don’t end up back up in a pile of paperwork. You can even frame your meaningful receipts for a sweet, sustainable way to preserve a memory.

Because these are sold in the Bullseye’s Playground, you’ll have to go to Target in person to find them. If you’re looking for a funky frame you can buy online, this miniature one from Urban Outfitters fits the bill. Made of resin, the squiggle-style frame is so cute and just big enough to hold an Instax Mini photo.
