When it comes to stylish furniture on a budget, few do it better than Target (if you know, you know). That’s why I absolutely couldn’t wait for their latest Threshold collection designed with Studio McGee, which debuted a few new, highly-anticipated pieces earlier this week. This spring 2022 installment taps into designer Shea McGee’s signature traditional-meets-trendy aesthetic with fresh doses of texture, pattern play, and natural-looking materials. Honestly, it’s SO good that, as to be expected, some of the products have already completely sold out within just days.

Don’t worry, though — from rugs to art and side tables to even patio furniture, you’ll find plenty more Studio McGee-approved staples worth adding to your cart. In fact, as evidenced by this (sadly out of stock) burl wood console table that could pass as a CB2 dupe, many items resemble luxe-for-less iterations of ultra-popular (and usually pricey) pieces already on the home scene. Speaking of prices, the collections starts at just $15, with even the larger furniture pieces mostly falling under the $500 mark. I rounded up a few favorites below, but act fast if you see something you like since the line’s clearly in super-high demand. Now BRB while I refresh my email for restock notifications.

I can’t think of a prettier way to hop on the checkerboard bandwagon. This resin box comes in a small and large size, so you can play with stacking and styling on your coffee table or bookshelf. They’re honestly great hiding spots for face masks or car keys in an entryway space, too.

Speaking of entryways, this light-hued bench boasts a compact footprint (48 inches wide), perfect for adding extra seating to any small nooks or crannies. It’s a stellar organizational focal point, too — pairs of shoes or storage baskets tucked underneath will never look better. Oh, and you can also remove the white cushion, if you want. Not bad for less than $200!

Fans of the woven look, you’re really in luck with the entire collab. This rattan vase specifically stands out as one of my personal favorites, thanks to its trendy textured take on a signature shape. The best vases, arguably, are also the ones that look best empty, but this one’s also spacious enough to house your favorite florals and greenery.

It’s hard to decide what’s better here — this tripod lamp’s modern, minimalist silhouette or its remarkable price. Let both incentivize you to add a striking new light fixture to your decor repertoire, whether it’s in the living room corner or illuminating your WFH area. Just be prepared for an onslaught of “Where did you get that?” questions.

Blank wall space, meet airy mirror! I keep coming back to this accent because of the frame’s square- and round-edge combo, which makes for a really unique, elevated shape. Pair that with the light wood tone, and you’ve got a luxe-for-less mirror fit to hang above your mantel, dresser, or anywhere in between.

There’s no shortage of pretty side tables within the new Target launch, including this plaster-effect piece. If you’ve been looking for something to fill empty sofa-adjacent space, or even a super-small coffee table option, the round accent checks all the boxes. Not to mention, thanks to the clean white hue, it’s the best blank decorating canvas for plants, books, etc.

Available in both 5- by 7-foot and 7- by 10-foot sizes, this two-toned geometric rug gives me strong Lulu and Georgia vibes — at a fraction of the cost. You can’t go wrong with its color palette, either, considering it can blend well with just about any room.

I don't know about you, but I’ve already been seeing this bowl all over my Instagram feed — and for good reason. Two words: scalloped edges. It’s organic-looking enough to stand on its own but is also just begging to be filled with candles, decorative beads, and any other trinkets.

Although on the more expensive side, this versatile cabinet feels like somewhat of a steal. For starters, it has sliding glass doors for easy access and visibility, plus so much storage space. Four full shelves, people! We haven’t even delved into looks — the wood interior and white frame give the piece an overall classic, keep-for-years feel.
