If you’re anything like me, you (admittedly or not) spend a fair amount of time on TikTok. While I love finding a funny pet video or discovering new music on the app, the bulk of my time is spent on #HomeTok, where I’m constantly keeping an eye on what’s trending in the home and design space — because if there’s one thing TikTok is going to do, it’s influence.

According to a trend report by second-hand furniture marketplace Kaiyo, 67 percent of TikTok users say that the social media platform inspired them to shop even when they weren’t looking to do so (how’s that for influence?) And when it comes to furniture, there were three pieces that stood out this year: Restoration Hardware’s cult-favorite Cloud Couch, Anthropologie’s Primrose Mirror, and the Ligne Roset Togo Sofa.

To say these pieces were popular with design-savvy TikTokkers this year is putting it lightly. In fact, Kaiyo went on to share that these products’ TikTok popularity had a direct correlation to searches on-site for the products. For example, searches for the Cloud Couch on Kaiyo increased over 2000 percent in 2022 after #cloudcouch racked up 104.1 million views on TikTok. The numbers speak for themselves.

If you’re one of the many looking to get your hands on one of these pieces, you’re in luck. Below, we rounded up each of these coveted pieces, as well as a few budget-friendly alternatives for those looking for a style on a budget.

Cloud Couch

If you’ve been following sofa trends over the last few years, you know that the Cloud Couch is one of the most beloved pieces around, so it makes complete sense to see that TikTok has gone gaga over it, too. Available in more than 150 fabrics and multiple styles and configurations, this modular wonder is touted as “the world’s most comfortable sofa” thanks to its unparalleled, sink-in comfort that can be attributed to its feather-down and premium foam core construction.

An AT editor favorite, Albany Park’s Kova sofa is a great pick for those looking for a similar style at a more affordable price point. This modular pick features cozy seating thanks to its feather blend seat cushions and comes in an array of colors and fabrics, ranging from muted fabric neutrals to bold colorful velvets.

Primrose Mirror

Ornate gold mirrors have been having a moment for the last couple of years and if there’s one mirror that has been on everyone’s wishlist, it’s Anthropologie’s Primrose mirror. Iconic and handcrafted from a mix of resin, iron, engineered hardwood, and mirrored glass, it comes in four sizes and a number of finishes for a look that will dress up any space.

A favorite of style shopping editor Blair, the Arendahl mirror from Kate Laurel is the perfect pick for those looking for ornate on a budget. With a classic gold frame, arched shape, and decorative scroll details, it’s easy to see why this mirror is such a winner. And with prices ranging from just $125.99 to $279.99 (!!!), it’s also a bonafide steal.

Togo Sofa

Whether it be in fashion or home decor, it’s no secret that the 1970s are having a comeback. That’s why seeing one of the decades’ staple sofas — the Togo Sofa — having a resurgence in popularity comes as no surprise. First debuting in 1973, these handcrafted sofas were an instant hit, with tons of both new and authentic vintage picks, like this cognac style, still on the market today.

Needless to say, the popularity of the Togo’s style has led to many inspired picks, like the Greta from Urban Outfitters. Made of soft, recycled leather, this sofa features cushy pin-tucked cushions filled with recycled foam and also reclines into a sofa in seconds making it a great piece to have for overnight guests, too!
