I’ll admit, I’ve never been to France, so my experiences with Parisian interiors are basically limited to Instagram inspo and movie set designs. But the wannabe French girl in me has been living for this design aesthetic’s increased popularity in the U.S. lately, especially among renters. I’m seeing more and more wall molding DIYs, pretty pendant and ceiling medallion pairings, and even faux fireplace mantel setups in bedrooms and living rooms alike.

Perhaps one of my favorite French-inspired styles, though, is ornate gold mirrors. Big or small, they bring such an elegant, luxe-looking charm to any space — but that high-end look oftentimes has an equally high price tag to match. And ever since getting a burl wood entryway table in back February, I’d envisioned hanging a sizable gilded mirror on the wall space above it…until every style I came across cost upwards of $500. Aside from a few budget-friendly iterations at thrift or vintage shops, my searches remained largely unsuccessful. A few months ago, though, I discovered Kate & Laurel’s Arendahl Traditional Arch Mirror, and it was instant “Add to cart” at first sight.

With a classic gold frame, arched shape, and decorative scroll details, this accent crossed off everything (and more) on my style wishlist. So much so, that I couldn’t believe it came from Amazon, rather than a high-end modern home store. Even more surprising? The prices! The mirror is available in a few different sizes — 19 x 31 inches, 24 x 36 inches, and a horizontal 36 by 29 inches — ranging from just $138.99 to $279.99 (!!!). For how high quality and glam the design looks, it doesn’t get much better than this. Trust me, I’ve done my digging.

I initially ordered the smallest size (which is currently on sale for $117, FYI!) but it felt just a little too compact for my 35-inch-wide wall space — although it’s still fairly substantial, especially for the cost. Instead, I decided to spend a bit more and swap this for the slightly larger 24 x 36 inch version, and I couldn’t be happier. Even though I still have yet to actually hang it up (don’t judge, I’m waiting to build up more projects before hiring a handyman), it looks amazing just leaning against my console table and makes my living room seem much bigger and brighter. In fact, largely thanks to this mirror, my entryway area has become one of the most well-decorated spots in my entire apartment.

This gold mirror’s currently available via Amazon in all three sizes, including the one I currently own for $224.99. You can also get the look from Target (where I ordered mine!) for the exact same price, plus both sites offer additional black and silver finishes, too. Whichever mirror size(s) and style(s) you choose to hang on your wall, count on these to be the prettiest (and most well-priced) of them all.
