In Daniel and Diego’s small Buenos Aires, Argentina home, they went BOLD in the bathroom. The space got a gut renovation when Daniel bought the apartment. Daniel chose this pattern inspired by Moroccan tile. Sadly, the local version was too expensive so he bought regular 6″ x 6″ tiles and had them cut into fours. He advises everyone to take risks and create “wow” moments in their homes.

In this opulent Barcelona home, each of the three children have their own bathrooms, and each bathroom is in a different color! The two oldest have a red bathroom and blue bathroom respectively. While that idea alone is adorable, it’s how their mom color-coded the rooms that demands attention: Contrasting black and white tiles laid in a chevron pattern on the floor mix with extremely color-saturated, glossy tiles installed on the walls.

Another home with showstopping tile in many different rooms is James Conley and Kurt Heinrich’s space in Chicago. Designed by Carly Moeller of Unpatterned, one bathroom features a gradient mix of shower tiles, where another space combines two wildly different shapes side by side. Ruth Matthews of Design Soda already had some charming black and white checkered tiles in her London home’s entryway, but here she adds boldness with a fresh approach to accompanied paint. She used “Oval Room Blue” by Farrow & Ball on the walls AND on a furniture piece. It modernizes the space and is quite lovely.
