Trader Joe’s aficionados know that food is just the beginning when it comes to perusing the aisles. Their selection of household items and beauty products are well worth the look — especially because they come at a bargain. Many items are known dupes for more expensive counterparts, and are arguably just as good. When it comes to Trader Joe’s wellness products, there are gems aplenty to fill up your basket. Here are some of the best Trader Joe’s wellness products to try out.

Eucalyptus

You can pretty much always find eucalyptus in the flower section at Trader Joe’s for just a few bucks. Hanging eucalyptus stems in your shower will not only make it a spa-like experience, but it can also help ease anxiety, help with congestion, and soothe a nasty cough. It’s a powerhouse plant! Put it in your shower or simply add some to a vase and the fragrance will waft into your space to create a wonderful aroma and mood.

Dryer Balls

If you have sensitive skin or allergies, fragrances or chemicals found in laundry care items like dryer sheets can be irritating. Dryer balls are chemical-free, eco-friendly, and for sale at your neighborhood Trader Joe’s. These little balls made of wool come in a pack of four, and are an easy sustainable swap. Even if you aren’t sensitive to dryer sheets, dryer balls will dry your clothes faster — saving energy in the process. A win all around!

Daily Facial SPF

Sunscreen is essential for healthy skin. Instead of sticking with sunscreen solely over the summer, a daily SPF will prevent your skin from premature aging and damage. While many facial sunscreens you find at places like Sephora or Ulta start at around $30, this Trader Joe’s wellness product dupe is only a fraction of the cost at $8.99. The gel formula is comparable to higher-end products as well, and at SPF 40 the protection is the same too. Be sure to stock up the next time you’re at Trader Joe’s — and don’t forget to reapply throughout the day!

Hand Sanitizer Spray

I love having hand sanitizer sprinkled all throughout my home (and my car). Trader Joe’s carries a $2 lavender hand sanitizer spray that is quick and easy to use and is great for when you’re on the go. The lavender scent also comes in clutch if you just need a moment of zen throughout the day. I work from home and a spritz or two on my hands during the workday offers a teeny-tiny respite that is most welcome — especially later in the afternoon.

Supplement Drops

When cold and flu season arrive, supporting your immune system is key. Trader Joe’s supplement drops are just $1.49 and consist of a combination of cranberry juice concentrate, herbs, and menthol that feel great on your throat — and they taste good too. These are fantastic to have on hand all year-round, but especially when you anticipate a runny nose or scratchy throat. Keep this Trader Joe’s wellness hack in your medicine cabinet, and don’t be afraid to enjoy a drop once a day!

Candles

Lighting a candle is like a permission slip for relaxation. Trader Joe’s offers a wide variety of candles (both scented and unscented) throughout the year that are always worth checking out. Fragrance can help set the mood, whether you want to feel energized and focused or calm and subdued. Grab a salted caramel and pistachio one to boost your mood if they’re still in stock at your store. And trust that new fragrances will hit the shelves soon!

Cough Drops

Ever since I was little, the first sign of a sore throat meant it was time to break out a bag of Ricola. Now as an adult, I’ve learned that a bag can cost anywhere from about $4 to $7. The Trader Joe’s version? $1.49. Their honey lemon cough drops come in a bag of 15 and are essentially identical to Ricola’s. The Trader Joe’s version includes eucalyptus oil and menthol, which are incredibly soothing for sore throats and congested chests. These are perfect for picking up on your next Trader Joe’s run, whether you’re feeling under the weather or not.

Room Spray

There’s nothing worse than a room full of stale, stagnant air. When the rooms in your home can use a little pick-me-up, pairing an open window and a room spray is a quick and easy way to refresh your space. Whether it’s your kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom, a few spritzes can help you breathe a little easier. Trader Joe’s offers a lemon room spray for just $2 that is a simple mix of water, lemon myrtle, and spearmint essential oil, plus an emulsifier that keeps the oil and water from separating. It smells fresh and won’t give you a headache either.
