What has four legs, supports you every weekday, and is something you couldn’t have done without this past year? Your dog, probs, but also your desk — which arguably feels like a second home not away from home at this point.

I can relate. . . I’ve probably spent more time plugged into my new WFH “office” than I have anywhere else. That said, it goes to show that a really good desk goes a really long way, especially with remote work probably sticking around (like it or not). But what constitutes a good desk, you may ask? I say one that’s stylish enough to keep around for a while (and match your decor, obvi), but also spacious and sturdy enough to hold a laptop, notebook, coffee mug, and maybe even a monitor. Oh, and it definitely shouldn’t be a huge splurge.

Sound too good to be true? Amazon said “challenge accepted.” One of its lesser-known home brands, Harmati (which looks like IKEA-meets-West Elm on a budget), recently launched a new must-see furniture piece: You guessed it, a desk. Whether you’re looking for a 9-5 change of scenery or desperately need a new work/study space in general, this piece checks all of my boxes. Best of all, it’s currently 30 percent off with code 30HPRIME for Prime Day.

Normally priced at $149.99, the desk (and entire Harmati collection) is designed with small spaces in mind — and you can actually choose between a 40- or 47-inch length, based on your sizing needs. (But there’s still plenty of desktop room — it’s 19.6 inches deep, to be exact!). There are two different color combos as well: an oak and light gray pairing, and walnut and black.

As for functionality, it boasts two sizable drawers and an easy click-and-lock assembly system. The pieces basically fit together with perfectly aligned grooves, so you can count on clean lines and the ultimate sturdiness (no funky angles here). You do, however, have the option to buy expert building assistance for an extra $65.

And we can’t not talk about looks. The sleek, minimal design has major West Elm vibes (without the price, of course). It’s neutral and modern enough to even work as a makeshift dressing table or vanity — just add a mirror from the same Harmati collection, and you’re all set.

If standing desks are more your speed, the brand also has you covered there. Because no matter how you work, you deserve the best spot in the (home) office.
