Name: Kristin Sears Location: Bushwick Neighborhood, Brooklyn, NYC Bushwick was recently on Vogue‘s list of the coolest neighborhoods in the world, and I’m lucky enough to call it my new home. I am from Kentucky and recently graduated from school in Savannah, Georgia… needless to say it was going to be a big adjustment moving to New York City. That’s the main reason why I chose Bushwick and my apartment in particular: It feels like home… all 300 square feet of it.

The whole space is filled with eclectic pieces that have a story, topped off with gorgeous natural light. But though the space is full of fun and interesting things to look at, it doesn’t feel overwhelming.

Before & After: A Battered Bar Cart Gets a $20 Golden Update
We LOVE when folks take something pretty forgotten and with a little work, turn it into something unforgettable. That’s what Susan did with this beat-up and battered old bar cart. Twenty dollars and a makeover later, and she now has a pretty, golden bar cart! From Susan: This battered old cart was hanging out in my basement. After emptying its contents at a garage sale, I decided to give it new life, since I loved the style of the wire side pieces.
