Location: Lower Highland (LoHi) Neighborhood, Denver, Colorado Size: 564 square feet Years lived in: 3 years; rented / owned Almost three and a half years ago, the Power family decided to put down roots in a 1910s charmer located in the (now ever so popular) Lower Highland neighborhood of Denver.

The ten-foot ceilings, original pocket doors, exposed brick, and amazing natural light make this 1900s charmer simply irresistible.

Name: Jenna & Lexxa Location: Baker Neighborhood; Denver, Colorado Size: 630 square feet Years lived in: 13 (Jenna) & 17.5 (Lexxa); Owned Jenna Miles, the owner of Denver’s “modern mercantile” shop Hazel & Dewey,  and her partner, Lexxa, are the happy residents of a two story renovated colonial in the city’s quaint Baker District neighborhood. I first met Jenna in her shop, filled with the most incredible kitchen items and hostess gifts.

Name: Stiles and Lauren Christner Location: Englewood, Colorado Size: 624 Square Feet Years Lived In: 2 Texas born and bred, Lauren and Stiles embody the small town warmth and southern spunk so often found in the Lone Star state. Lucky for us, the same can be said about their beautiful starter home in Denver, Colorado. Stepping through the threshold of this home, one might initially find it hard to determine the age of its residents.

Name: Jake Pedziwiatr and Bridget Mahoney Location: Whittier, Denver, CO Size: 1,600 square feet Years lived in: 1.5 years; owned Around town, Bridget is know as one of Denver’s best barbers. To her friends and Instagram followers she is known as the queen of power tools, master of weekend DIY projects, and just a plain bad-ass.

Name: Rebecca Caridad Facteau (a photographer and artist) & Dustin Facteau Location: Boulder, Colorado Size: 750 square feet Years lived in: 3.5 years; Owned Stepping into the colorful, light filled space belonging to Boulder residents Rebecca and Dustin Facteau, you might be shocked to discover that you are actually standing in a mobile home (although it will probably take you a while to notice).

Name: Bridget and Robert Park Location: Ballpark District, Denver, Colorado Size: 800 square feet Years lived in: 2 years; rented Hailing from Seattle, these two newlyweds recently made the trek to Denver for a new adventure and grad school. After one year of living in the ballpark district of downtown Denver, a friend told them about an affordable housing program in the city that gave lower income households access to some of the city’s most beautiful historic lofts.

Name: Dustin Audet and Ali Elman of Rust & Varnish Location: Lohi, Denver Size: 961 square feet Years lived in: 3 years; Owned Although Ali & Dustin, the dynamic design duo behind Rust & Varnish made their home in Colorado, their California roots and their insatiable love for the beach inspired its design to be reminiscent of the sandy shores of the West Coast.

Name: Wedding Photographer Megan Wynn Location: Capitol Hill; Denver, Colorado Size: 800 square feet Years lived in: 1.5 years; Rented Indiana native Megan Wynn is an incredible wedding photographer, a free spirit, and one inspiring lady. She recently decided to make a life change and move to a place that had always called her name. Leaving behind her 1930s duplex and vowing to have no regrets, Megan packed up a Uhaul, her golden retriever pup, and headed west for Colorado.

Name: Amy Tremper of Stitch & Hammer Location: Boulder, Colorado Size: 350 square feet Years lived in: 8 months; Rented Everyone meet Amy, owner and founder of Stitch & Hammer, a leather goods shop based out of Boulder, Colorado. What started as a desire to reconnect with her family heritage led to a serious side project and quickly (and perhaps somewhat unexpectedly) evolved into an established and fast growing business.

Name: Black Eye Coffee Shop  Location: Highland Neighborhood, Denver, Colorado  Size: 1,200 square feet Years Occupied: 1.5 years, open for 8 months A year and a half ago Ali and Dustin ventured into a dilapidated storefront on Navajo street. It was a space they had walked past a number of times, but that night something was different. The “Coffee Shop Coming Soon” sign that had graced its facade for months had come down, and they were intrigued.
