14 Sales That Are Worth Your Time This Week (That Aren’t Amazon Prime Day)
In case you missed it — but really, how could you? — Amazon Prime Day is live right now, and we’re tracking the sale’s best home deals until it ends on Friday, June 26. But here’s the thing: Amazon doesn’t have everything. If you’re looking for a specific brand, want to earn loyalty rewards somewhere you shop regularly, or just prefer to spend your money elsewhere, there are plenty of other places to save on home upgrades this week.
Some of Prime Day’s biggest competition is coming from Amazon’s direct retail rivals: Wayfair, Target, and Walmart all have limited-time events that go up to 70% off. And lots of beloved furniture and home brands launched their July 4th sales early, meaning you can score deals on pieces you won’t find on Amazon at all. Below, I rounded up the best sales happening right now that are worth your time alongside — or instead of — Prime Day.
Walmart
Walmart is offering up to 50% off across the entire store through Sunday, June 28. The home department has a little bit of everything marked down, including sheets and mattresses to make up a guest room, upright vacuums from Bissell and robot vacuums from Roborock for clean floors, and Keurig coffee machines for easy mornings. I also spotted some nice-looking furniture on sale from Beautiful, Drew Barrymore’s collection. Plus, you can get a year of Walmart+ for just $49.
Target
Target Circle members can enjoy Circle Deal Days and save up to 40% through Friday, June 26. Among the offerings are a KitchenAid stand mixer with a copper bowl for $100 off, decor designed with Studio McGee, and an upholstered storage bench that looks more expensive than it is. The deals here are actually really good, and some are actually more than 40% off! If you’re not yet a Target Circle member, you can sign up for free.
Wayfair
The Wayfair Four-Day Flash Sale has thousands of markdowns that are as high as 70% off. (Coincidentally, I’m sure, it’s the same length as Prime Day.) For a backyard you’ll enjoy well into fall, go straight for the deals on outdoor furniture, grills, outdoor lighting and decor, and outdoor structures and spas. As for indoor furniture, I’m recommending the bookshelf with drawers shown here, which is one of my latest Wayfair purchases.
IKEA
The IKEA Summer Sale has furniture and home goods for up to 50% off through Thursday, July 2. The deals page is helpfully organized by specific categories right at the top, and it looks like the best discounts live in textiles, dining furniture, and outdoor furniture — that’s where I found this modern-looking dog bed with a sun shade.
Lowe’s
Lowe’s early July 4 sale has big savings on big stuff for your home. Think up to 45% off on major appliances, up to 75% off select flooring, and daily deals across categories. The most seasonal deals I’m seeing are on ceiling fans and outdoor furniture — and you can even save on getting that furniture assembled, which is my least favorite part.
West Elm
West Elm’s sale section is so good right now, I had to include it even though the store isn’t hosting an official sale event. There are more than 1,800 deals to choose from as of this writing, including several of the most comfortable West Elm sofas we’ve tested and any piece of mid-century modern-style furniture you can think of. And if you sort by lowest price, you’ll find a lot of holiday decor.
Pottery Barn
The Pottery Barn Summer Sale can help you redecorate your entire home for as much as 70% off. There are strong savings on the Cloud Quilt, striped outdoor rugs, sectional sofas, leather recliners, and seashell-adorned bathroom accessories sets. I’m thinking about grabbing these red-white-and-blue tumblers for 50% off, since they’ll arrive before the holiday weekend.
TJMaxx
TJMaxx’s clearance sale goes up to 70% off, and it includes hundreds of home deals. Most of what I’m seeing is decor and linen from the likes of Rachel Zoe and Nicole Miller Home. This cutlery caddy is perfect for al fresco dining on the patio, and it totally complements these outdoor placemats.
Marshalls
Marshalls is also having a clearance sale with discounts as high as 70% off, just like its sister store. Compared to TJMaxx’s selection, this sale appears to have more lighting and furniture options. I’m loving this Tommy Bahama outdoor swivel chair (shown above) and this rattan pendant light, and these metal-and-glass solar table lights.
Cozy Earth
At Cozy Earth, everything is 20% off, and if you buy three or more things, they’re 25% off. (Yes, you can buy Cozy Earth at Amazon Prime Day, but the selection is not as big, and there’s no multi-item bonus.) I own and love the bamboo sheets, waffle towels, and the brushed bamboo jogger set, which is a go-to for me in cooler months. Apartment Therapy editors are also fans of their comforters, bed blankets, and bath mats.
Albany Park
Albany Park couches are up to 35% off in this early July 4 sale. Editor-in-Chief Charli Penn and I both have the Kova sofa with a storage ottoman and pillow cushions in velvet performance fabric — hers is navy, mine is a rusty red — and it has the highest discount this sale offers. “We basically live on ours. It’s our personal cloud, right in the middle of our home,” Charli wrote in her review.
Castlery
Castlery’s early July 4 sale has a buy more, save more structure — up to $450. Contributor Kelly Dawson summed it up best in her review of the DTC furniture brand: “The company is known for thoughtfully designed and well-built pieces that showcase craftsmanship, but at prices that won’t necessarily break the bank.” For indoor furniture, this sleek sectional sofa is now under $1,500; as for outdoor, check out this lounge chair and ottoman.
Burrow
Burrow furniture is as much as 40% off at the brand’s early July 4th sale. After much research, contributor Madeline Billis went with the Range four-piece sectional shown here, and she’s loved it for two years. “It’s just the right amount of firm so you don’t feel like you’re sinking into it, yet it’s surprisingly soft for such an angular style of sofa,” she wrote. You can also check out more Burrow sofas and chairs that Apartment Therapy editors recommend.
Dagne Dover
Dagne Dover is offering 25% off sitewide right now when you sign up for a free membership — easy to do right on the brand’s site before you check out. We’re highlighting the brand’s Roma Packing Cube, an AT editor favorite for keeping suitcases (and even backpacks) organized, but the deal applies across Dagne Dover’s whole lineup. That means work bags, travel backpacks, toiletry bags, and even pet carriers are all in play, on top of the brand’s signature totes and weekenders. It’s a good moment to stock up before a summer of travel.
