While it sounded impossible not too long ago, machine-washable rugs are becoming more and more popular, especially in busy households with kids or pets. The rugs in Loloi’s collaboration with Joanna Gaines and Magnolia Home are all machine-washable, making them particularly convenient for high-traffic areas like living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchens. Home and lifestyle brand Chris Loves Julia collaborated on the Jules rug, which is designed to look like a perfectly faded vintage rug that you would find in an antique store. It’s made with modern techniques though, and the polyester construction means it’s highly durable and easy to clean.

I’ve personally had this rug for over four years, and it’s worked in two different spaces: the bedroom in my previous apartment and the living area in my current home. I love that it has some color and pattern but is neutral enough to work with different colors and decor.
