Terri Pous
Executive Editor at Apartment Therapy
New York, NY
I've been in journalism ever since I took an intro course my sophomore year of high school. After that, I was a features writer and then editor for my high school's newspaper, and I've never looked back. I received my BS in Journalism from Northwestern University in 2012, concentrating in Magazine Journalism, and I immediately began working at TIME.com after graduation. Since then, I've exclusively worked in digital media, and have developed a passion for lifestyle and service journalism.
After TIME, I did web production and social media at Brides Magazine, worked at BuzzFeed for 3.5 years, and now I've been at Apartment Therapy since 2019. In that time, I've also won two episodes of Jeopardy!, beat Ken Jennings on The Chase, and wrote a book, called How to Plan a Wedding, which was published by Penguin in 2023.
I am passionate about oxford commas, studio apartment living, New York City, and editing pieces that help people live better lives at home.
