Living room detail of white sofa and black and white striped chair

I’ve seen my fair share of furniture trends over the years, but few have caught on quite like RH (aka Restoration Hardware)’s Cloud Couch. The modern modular sofa was such a hit, it spawned a movement of similarly stylish and comfortable models. It’s gotten to the point where “cloud couch” is now synonymous with pillowy soft, modern white sofas. It feels like every brand makes one now, which can be a lot to navigate if you’re looking to bring the style into your home. To help you along your search, I scoured the internet for the very best cloud couches for every space and budget.

To narrow down the wide array of options, I started by scanning the AT archives for cloud couches our editors have loved and tested. After sifting through their favorites and new-to-market offerings, I narrowed down the top 12 styles, prioritizing sofas at varying sizes (starting with a super-compact 76.7-inch-wide couch!) and price points. With the exception of the namesake RH Cloud Couch, I sought out couches under $4,000, with the most affordable options starting at $324 — so there’s a style for everyone!

Cloud Modular 4-Piece Sofa-Chaise Sectional
$9,150

If you have the funds, you won’t regret investing in the couch that started it all. The Cloud Couch’s laid-back silhouette oozes quiet luxury, with sink-in soft, feather and down-wrapped foam cushions and endless configuration possibilities. There are over 100 upholstery fabrics to choose from, too, for a couch that looks and feels like it was specially made for you.

BedLuxury 2-Seat Loveseat Sofa
$600$324

At 76.7 inches wide, this BedLuxury two-seater is the most petite sofa on this list, which makes it a perfect fit in tight spaces. The soft chenille upholstery and lounge-ready cushions deliver the cloud comfort you want, at a price that seems too good to be true (it’s only $324!). One Walmart shopper insists, however, that it’s the real deal: “We are in love with our couch. It was so easy to put together, so comfortable. Just gorgeous.”

Ktaxon Sectional Sofa
$869$419

Editors were so impressed by the luxury look of this cloud couch from Walmart. The cushiony, 33.5-inch-wide seat provides ample room for cozying up, and the ottoman gives the couch its L-shape in a small-space-friendly footprint. There are multiple sizes to choose from, but if you’re an apartment-dweller like I am, you’ll want to go for this 86-inch-wide option.

Latitude Run Cloud Couch Chenille 4-Seater Sofa
$990

If you have the square footage to spare, this 100-inch-wide sectional is the comfiest place to gather. From the fluffy cotton- and foam-filled seat cushions to the coastal flanged edges, it has the cozy look and feel you want in a cloud couch — for less than $1,000 (a steal for a sectional this size!). What’s more, the pillowy curved arms double as head rests, which makes it a great couch to sleep on whether you’re hosting overnight guests or taking a midday nap.

Ciello Sofa
$1,495

With its sophisticated look and deep seats, this editor-tested sofa has an unmistakable cloud couch vibe. Its quality craftsmanship and cushiony comfort stood out during testing, and the fact that it can be assembled without tools is a major bonus. At 106 inches wide, this couch can accommodate smaller living rooms, and you can always add more modules if you have more room to play with. The cushion covers are removable for easy washing, too.

Oasis Performance Linen Blend Sofa
$1,500

Quince continues to break the internet with its budget-friendly luxury goods, so it’s no surprise that the brand makes their own cloud couch, too. The Oasis is upholstered in a durable linen blend and outfitted with washable cushion covers, which makes it a great choice for families or folks with pets. Most importantly, though, its down and foam-filled seat seat cushions promise a fluffy, feel-good sit without a “break in” period. It comes in 84”, 96”, and 108” sizes, so there’s a sofa for every space.

Lunna Modular Sofa
$3,900$1,560

According to AT editor Cullen Ormond, the Lunna sofa is so comfortable, “it literally feels like you’re lying on a puffy cotton ball.” The super-soft sit and stylish, minimalist design looks way more high-end than its mid-tier price point lets on. And while the modular design comes in a ton of different configurations, this 80-inch-wide sofa is perfect for tiny apartments. Split it up for two oversized chairs, or join them to comfortably seat multiple people.

Marin Apartment 2-Piece Chaise Sectional
$2,998

The Marin sofa has that casual, coastal look that’s a hallmark of cloud couches, with its sink-in soft (but not overstuffed) bench seat, side cushions, and creamy ivory upholstery. Editors also say it’s one of West Elm’s most comfortable couches, and I believe it. The space-saving sectional is a great fit for smaller spaces, thanks to its petite dimensions — and it’s 20% off right now!

Dawson Extended Sofa
$3,097

If you have a large, open living space (lucky), you’ll love the Dawson sofa’s relaxed, oversized design and deep seat cushions. The 126-inch-wide modular silhouette is made for sprawling out in total comfort, while the foam, fiber, and feather-filled seat is perfectly fluffed for the complete cloud effect. The cushion covers are machine-washable, too, so the light linen upholstery stays pristine.
