Costco Is Selling an 8-Piece Set of 27-Gallon Christmas Storage Bins (or Buy One for $7!)

The winter season will have you pulling out a lot of your bulky items — whether holiday-related, like gift-wrapping supplies and decorations, or seasonal items, like coats, sweaters, and warm blankets. It’s an exciting time of year, but you have to admit, all this stuff does take up quite a lot of room in your home. As such, one of the best ways you can treat yourself this holiday season is with a set of classic, sturdy, spacious storage bins, and right now, you can get eight of them for less than $100 at Costco.

The Greenmade 27-Gallon Storage Bins are made from thick BPA-free plastic, and each comes with a “lockable snap-on lid,” which can also accommodate zip-ties or padlocks for extra security. The eight-pack of bins retails for $99.99, but until November 27, they’re on sale for $83.99. That’s just a little over $10 per bin, which is a pretty good deal considering each bin holds an impressive 27 gallons. 

The online listing says the bulk deal is online-only, but an Instagram video from @costconewdeals shows that the bins are available in-store as well for $6.99 a bin — perfect if you just want to buy one or two and don’t need a whole set. 

Costco’s Greenmade bins may not be the most stylish looking, but not all storage has to be chic or even visible. They would be great stashed away in a garage, storage unit, shed, or closet. Plus, if you’re planning on moving in the future, having eight large, sturdy bins would certainly simplify the packing process. 

As you probably already know, shopping at Costco requires a paid membership. Many people find this worth it, since they’re getting bulk items for lower prices than at typical stores, but this may not be ideal for someone who lives alone, with only one other person, or in a big city without regular car access.

Of course, Costco isn’t the only place to find large storage bins. In fact, Ace Hardware sells the same exact bins in the same exact size. They don’t come in as many colors as they do at Costco, but you can choose from three different two-color options, including festive red and green. These bins must be purchased individually for $19.99 each, so you are going to spend a bit more if you want the whole eight-bin set.
