Because my bed is one of my most cherished pieces of furniture at home, I make a point to keep it as comfortable as possible — even if I can’t be bothered to make it up every single morning. Because of that, whenever a new bedding brand is brought to my attention, I’m always excited to jump in and see all that they offer. Who would I be to pass up an opportunity to make my bed even more luxuriously comfy? I even have underbed storage containers dedicated to extra blankets and throws for my bedroom alone. Yes, it’s good to have some go-to bedding picks, but I love the thrill of discovering new brands, products, and trends, too. That’s why it was so fantastic to hear about Earthfoam, who arrived on the scene with a new mattress, pillow, and topper. I didn’t know what to expect going into trying out their pillow, but I’m so glad I hopped at the chance, because now I can’t imagine it not being on my bed.

If someone was to tell me to imagine what a cozy pillow would feel like off the top of my head, the Earthfoam Pillow would be it. I have at least five pillows on my bed, nearly all made with different materials, and Earthfoam’s is nothing like them, which makes it stand out from the bunch. It has a foam rubber core and two outer layers of soft organic cotton, which means it holds its shape while providing optimal support and softness. For comparison, it doesn’t have the same sinking effect of hotel pillows, but it’s squishy enough for me to feel nestled and content. The first time I rested my head on the pillow, I was surprised by just how soft it was for a foam pillow that wasn’t memory foam. I love that it bounces back to its original shape versus memory foam, which tends to conform to you and sticks like that until you manipulate it into another position. It requires zero fluffing, and you can sleep on it straight out of its packaging because it’s already encased in a washable organic cotton cover.

According to Earthfoam, this pillow is recommended for those who prefer a lot of head support because of how well it holds its shape. They describe it as “springy” and “spongy,” which is certainly what I’ve experienced and consider a perk. The brand mentioned that their pillow might not be a good fit for stomach sleepers who enjoy pillows that can be “molded for comfort,” however, as a stomach-favoring combination sleeper, I haven’t had trouble achieving comfortable, deep sleep with this pillow and I’ve been using it for weeks. I’m also a hot sleeper, so finding out this pillow is breathable and doesn’t add to the heat when my bedroom gets too warm is a huge plus. I own pillows that have a cushy, moldable feeling that I love, but I also love pillows that have more support like this one. In fact, my foam pillows are some of my all-time favorites, and Earthfoam’s is easily in my Top 3.

So, if you are looking to try something new or want more variety in your bedding, the Earthfoam Pillow is one you don’t want to miss. I think it strikes a great balance between softness and structure that makes it a fantastic pillow for relaxing, whether you’re sleeping or lounging in bed or on the couch. Considering it’s one of the first products from this brand, along with a mattress and an AT editor-tested mattress topper, it’s a very strong start!
