Looking for ways to refresh your space for spring? This year, the Pinterest Predicts 2026 report showcased 21 trends worth keeping tabs on, including a bevy of interior trends ranging from Afrohemian decor and Neo Deco to Cabbage Crush and FunHaus. Since I’m a self-proclaimed color lover and someone who’s enamored with all things funky and fun in the home and in life at large, Pinterest’s FunHaus decor trend speaks to me.

When I moved into my first solo apartment five years ago, after buying a stunning kelly green velvet couch and all kinds of cheerful colorful decor, I purchased a set of chunky black and white striped curtains and asked my mom (a self-taught seamstress) to make me the circus-inspired cornice of my dreams to tie it altogether. While I’ve since moved from that apartment and had to part ways with my kitschy valence, my love for joyful decor remains. And, as it turns out, FunHaus decor is basically that, just with different packaging and a few parameters.

What Is FunHaus Decor?

Close your eyes and think back to your childhood. Imagine going to the state fair, the carnival, your local amusement park. Let images of vibrant signs, striped hallways, and shape-shifting mirrors fill your mind. Now, try to picture if those attributes transformed into a home aesthetic. There: You have FunHaus.

“FunHaus is a maximalist, whimsical decor trend that draws inspiration from the circus and is characterized by bright colors, bold graphic prints, and sculptural silhouettes,” says Anthropologie Senior Home Stylist, Tom Magill. According to Magill (and thousands of Pins on Pinterest), stripes and bright — often primary — colors are the cornerstones of FunHaus. From there, it’s all about exploring the dopamine-drenched side of the trend. What quirky, colorful items instantly spark joy and elicit a sense of nostalgia?

Whether you want to go full FunHaus in your home or simply want to rejuvenate your kitchen or living room with the trend, ahead, find 21 home decor items that will have you feeling like a kid again.

Wallpaper in 5th Avenue Stripe No. 2 in Black and White Onyx
$129$97

Thick striped wallpaper has a way of instantly transforming a room (or a few). “A bold striped wallpaper is a great way to create a modern, circus tent-inspired space,” Magill says. “There are plenty of peel-and-stick options, as well, if you happen to be renting and don’t want to commit to something permanent.” The Spoonflower 5th Avenue Stripe No. 2 Peel-and-Stick Wallpaper, sold in four colors and four sizes, is a great option.

Gem Stripes
$149

Consider replacing traditional “boob lights” with eye-catching striped shades. The Tulip Gem Stripes Light Shade is sold in classic red and white stripes, making it a top choice for FunHaus ceiling decor.

Jonathan Adler Op Art Charcoal Rug, 5' x 7'
$419

Another easy way to set the FunHaus tone in your home is with a large striped area rug, like the Ruggable x Jonathan Adler Op Art Charcoal Rug. “If you’re hesitant about bright colors, you can still achieve the look by looking for bold patterns in neutrals like black and white,” Magill says. “It will still feel fun and quirky, but neutrals are so versatile, so it will be easy to pair with any color scheme.”

Rhea Swivel Lounge Chair
$499

Colorful (or black and white!) striped furniture adopts the quirky FunHaus trend in one fell swoop. While striped couches exist, I especially love the idea of circus-striped accent chairs. The Urban Outfitters Rhea Swivel Lounge Chair is sold in six striped options, ranging from neutrals and pastels to classic primary circus hues.

Seat, Harlan
$249

For something functional and versatile, consider a striped modular chair, which is perfect for kickbacks and kids rooms alike. The fold-out House of Noa Harlan Seat is sold in 10 striped options, all of which look fabulous on their own and paired together, whether in a loveseat, sofa, or sectional configuration.

Chella Checkered Faux Fur Throw Blanket
$138

There are plenty of small-scale home decor items that can get the FunHaus vibe across, too, such as patterned faux fur blankets. “A faux fur throw blanket in a harlequin print is a luxe and fanciful addition to your sofa or bed,” Magill says. If you can’t find a diamond design throw, make it easy on yourself with a checkered pattern. The high contrast of the Lola Blankets x Harmony Beus Espresso Check Blanket will still evoke the fun and funky aesthetic.

Furbish Studio Petite Needlepoint Pillow
$98

This year, there’s been a huge surge in needlepoint crafts and decor, and many designs from Furbish Studio fit nicely within the FunHaus aesthetic. The Not My Circus Needlepoint Pillow is the most spot-on, not to mention one of the brand’s most cult-favorite styles. (Fun Fact: The Not My Circus Needlepoint was one of the first dopamine buys I ever pinned, and one of my first “expensive” decor buys.)

My Circus Needlepoint Pillow
$98

The Not My Circus pillow was so popular that Furbish Studio recently released the My Circus Needlepoint Pillow. Where the original is a reminder to not get caught up in the chaos of others, the new rendition is a nudge to accept life as it is and make the most of the present moment. As someone who now has nearly a dozen Furbish pillows throughout my home, I can attest to how beautiful, well-made, and happiness-inducing they are.

Maeve by Anthropologie Striped Ruffle Indoor/Outdoor Pillow
$68

If kitschy quote pillows aren’t your thing, or if you simply want to add as many throw pillows to the mix as possible, the Maeve Striped Ruffle Indoor/Outdoor Pillows are a fabulous (and stylish!) option. “Primary colored throw pillows in optimistic shades like sunny yellow and cherry red will help bring the FunHaus look to accent chairs and sectionals,” Magill says.

Classic Percale Hardcore Sheet Bundle
$507$353

For a FunHaus makeover in the bedroom, consider how you want to feel when you wake up and go to sleep. Chances are, softer contrast, thinner stripes, and brighter backgrounds will feel more grounding than ultra-bold circus stripes. For that reason, I can’t recommend the Brooklinen Classic Percale Hardcore Sheet Bundle in Grass Tandem Stripe enough. The bed linens are also designed to stay cool to the touch, which is always a bonus. If you want to really lean into the FunHaus effect, instead of a matching duvet and sheets, consider the Grass duvet and shams paired with the Flax Tandem Stripe sheets for a quirky contrast that will feel cozy yet invigorating.

Bird Stripe Towels, Set of 5
$188

Drench your linens in dopamine with the Dusen Dusen Bird Stripe Towels, which can be purchased individually or in a set of five. They’re sure to spark joy and soak up every last drip and drop of water.

Summer Petal Dinnerware, Set of 3
$168

To give your kitchen a hint of FunHaus flair, try adding colorful, striped, and/or geometric dinnerware, serveware, drinkware, and flatware to the mix. “You can infuse FunHaus style into your dining room with graphic printed dinnerware in poppy colors for a whimsical layer to your tablescapes,” Magill agrees. One option? The eye-catching Noon & Moon Summer Petal Dinnerware Set, sold in four colors. So fun!

L'Objet Prism Double Old Fashioned Glasses, Set of 4
$180$150

You can even bring the FunHaus aesthetic to your drinkware cabinet simply by replacing your clear, colorless glassware with bursts of color. The L’Objet Prism Double Old Fashioned Glasses are especially fitting, as the striped design gives them a chic yet circusy vibe.

Sabre Bistrot Solid Dinner Fork
$22

Feeling fancy? Treat yourself to some Sabre Paris Bistrot Solid Flatware. Each piece is sold individually, so you can create the colorful, circus-inspired collection of your dreams. Anthropologie stocks the Dinner Forks and Soup Spoon, but for a full, colorful collection, you’ll need to go straight to the source.

Megan Roy Stacked Stripes Tea Towel
$18

Every kitchen needs a drawer of highly-absorbent tea towels that are functional and fun. That’s why our editors are such big fans of Geometry and this Stacked Stripes print. The brand’s signature Geoweave fabric dries dishes and counters in a flash and air-dries at rapid speed on its own.

Striped Oven Mitts
$32

Many people have no qualms with using dish towels to pull pots and pans from the range, but what’s better than stylish and functional standalone oven mitts? When it comes to the FunHaus aesthetic, nothing compares to the Dusen Dusen Striped Oven Mitts.

Riviera Portable Lamp
$95

ICYMI: Portable lamps are having a major moment, and the PRINTWORKS Riviera Portable Lamp is just one example of FunHaus-inspired illumination for the home.

Vice Love Canister
$110$88

Point blank: Jonathan Adler is one of the premier designers in the world of FunHaus decor. While many of his creations fit the aesthetic, his striped canisters are particularly suitable. This red-and-white-striped Love Canister brings all the circus vibes, not to mention plenty of space to store cookies, candy, matchbooks, dog treats, or whatever else you’re looking to stow away on your counter.

$88 at Jonathan Adler
Maisie Vase
$78$70

When it comes to FunHaus swaps, Magill says to skip the clear glass vase in favor of a bold, colorful design. “Sculptural vases with vivid stripe patterns are a modern, easy way to bring the FunHaus idea into your home,” he says. Too many stripes for your liking? Go with a color block approach, like the AnthroHome Maisie Vase, instead.

$70 at Anthropologie
Art of Backgammon
$75

Considering how nostalgic and soul-nourishing the FunHaus decor trend is, try adding board games back into the mix. The PRINTWORKS Art of Backgammon Board Game is begging to be displayed on your coffee table with its bright red and white design, perfectly encapsulating the circus theme.

FunnyFuzzy Striped Faux Lambswool Orthopedi Dog Sofa Bed

If you’re truly considering all the ways you can add a little funky circus style to your space, look to your pet’s bed. After all, the Funny Fuzzy Striped Double Layer Sofa Bed is not only chic, it’s FunHaus-ready, too.
