Wooden dining table in kitchen and dining area of book filled dining room.

In our last apartment, my husband and I ate all of our meals at our coffee table. So when we moved into our NYC apartment, I was committed to having some form of a dining area, no matter how small the space. We made it work with our Cafe Table from Article, but we wanted a couple of extra chairs we could pull out while hosting. Folding chairs were the obvious answer (they’re so space-saving!), but many of the options online are … not cute. Then I found these Wooden Folding Chairs on Amazon.

The folding chairs have a modern Scandinavian look that’s right up my alley. And they’ve been an absolute game-changer when hosting in my tiny dining area. I even prefer them over my regular dining chairs! Here’s why.

What Are the GTNSAFP Wooden Folding Chairs?

The wooden folding chairs are just what I was looking for. For starters, their stylish silhouette is crafted out of real, birch-finished wood (they come in a dark wood option, too), giving them a cool, Scandinavian vibe. Meanwhile, the wide legs and minimalist details, like the circular cutouts and the linen-like upholstery, deliver an extra cool factor. Complete with a high rectangular back and cushioned seat, they’re surprisingly comfortable, too. You can buy a four pack for $158 or a two pack for $87 — a great deal, if you ask me.

Why I Love GTNSAFP Wooden Folding Chairs

I’m pretty sure the chairs didn’t have any reviews when I purchased them back in March, so my purchasing decision was based purely on aesthetics. They clearly delivered in that department, but I was relieved (and a little surprised) to discover that they’re actually quite comfortable, too. The high backrest feels so supportive, and it has an ever-so-slight curve to it that contours my back. And while the cushion isn’t the thickest, it’s soft enough that I can sit comfortably for prolonged periods with no soreness! I actually prefer to sit on the folding chairs instead of our regular dining chairs. They’re that good.

We’ve hosted my parents and my in-laws multiple times this year, and they both commented on how much they like the chairs. I now feel confident about bringing them out for guests, because I know firsthand they’re in for a supportive, stable seat. After more than six months of daily use, the chairs show no signs of letting up (no squeaking or wobbling!).

Like any good folding chair ought to be, these are small-space-friendly. They fold up effortlessly, and the curved backs allow the chairs to lean snugly against each other for easy storage. Like I said, I keep one of them out as my daily dining chair, but the other fits perfectly between our kitchen island and the wall. And while I haven’t tried this yet, I have a feeling the circular cutouts at the back could maybe be used to hang them on your wall, if you’d rather keep them off your floor completely.

If you’re hosting soon or are in the market for a stylish, space-saving dining chair, I’d highly recommend giving these folding chairs a shot. Your guests will thank you!
