IKEA Is Selling a “Cute Little Table” for $30 That’s Perfect for Small Spaces

It might still be cold outside, but I’m ready for a spring refresh — and I’m making a checklist for all my spring cleaning. As it turns out, IKEA is doing some spring cleaning of its own by discontinuing certain products to make room for new ones. If, after some tidying and decluttering, you find yourself in need of a better side table, there’s a great one at IKEA that won’t be around much longer — and it even comes in a color fit for springtime.

IKEA’s BURVIK side table in the gray-green colorway is being discontinued in the near future. It looks almost like a small barstool with an arched metal handle on top. This handle is a big part of the table’s appeal; IKEA’s site says it’s “light and small enough to lift with one hand” and is designed to be easy to grip, but roomy enough that you can store tall items on the table without colliding with the handle. It’s made of plywood and steel, it measures 30.75 inches tall (17.75 inches, if you don’t count the handle) and 15 inches in diameter, and it can hold up to 22 pounds.

If you want to get into the springtime spirit then you can get this table in gray-green, but if you’re more of a neutral person it also comes in black or white, which are not being discontinued. The black and green versions are monochromatic, while the white option has a light wood table that looks almost peachy in hue. The BURVIK side table typically retails for $44.99, but the gray-green color is currently discounted to $29.99, as it’s your last chance to get it. 

I love the handle on top of the table — it’s both stylish and practical — and because it’s so easy to lift up, mopping or vacuuming underneath it should be easier as well.

Reviewers on IKEA’s site also praise this table’s portability and versatility. “Perfect table for the small space next to living room chair,” writes Margo. “And our cats can’t knock things off due to the tray-like edge!” (Honestly, important information.) “I use this as a nightstand next to my bed and I absolutely love it,” Alyssa writes. “It took me 5-10 minutes to assemble and the design itself is super clean.” 

Indeed, the process of assembling IKEA furniture can be head-scratching at times, but multiple reviewers note that this table was a breeze to put together, with one person saying they were able to do it while in a wheelchair.
