This IKEA Hack for Small Entryways Is One of the Best Organizing Idea I’ve Seen
I don’t know about you, but if I didn’t have a standard spot to hang my keys as soon as I walk in the door, I would be looking for them … a lot. Having a key organizer in your entryway just makes so much sense, along with a place to hang your coats and put on your shoes. And while you could simply buy a hook for your keys, why not get a little creative and try out a super-smart IKEA hack that involves picture ledges?
What Is This IKEA Hack for Small Entryways?
Recently, Instagram creator Clara of @prettyin_beige shared a video where they crafted a key organizer out of thin air — using none other than IKEA MOSSLANDA picture ledges. Clara used two picture ledges and added hinges to create a fold-down storage solution that keeps keys hidden, tidy, and accessible. In addition to coming up with a whole new use for an IKEA product, it’s a budget-friendly way to store your keys (at only $10 a pop), and it happens to be great for small entryways.
How to Use This Hack at Home
All you need to do is tuck your essentials inside, including your keys and other out-the-door must-haves like a lipstick and a phone charger. The ledge itself looks like a pretty shelf for your entryway, ideal for displaying a small mirror for a final check and a diffuser to create some atmosphere.
All in all, it’s a brilliant and stylish way to stash stuff you can easily grab as you head out into the world. And it’s a great alternative to *constantly* losing your keys.
