Lowe’s Just Dropped the “It” Halloween Decor Of 2024 (No, It’s Not the Giant Skeleton)
If you’re someone who swaps out your flags for pumpkins, candles and cobwebs as soon as July Fourth is over, it’s time to head to Lowe’s for a spooky season makeover.
The viral Lowe’s skeleton may have been the Halloween mainstay for elevating your home’s creepiness factor over the past few years, but the store just dropped a giant, brand-new yard decoration that puts an eerie twist on the nautical trend — and, based on the initial response, it might go even more viral than our favorite giant skeleton. This massive Kraken Halloween decoration is on sale a month early, and it’s already getting scooped up in stores.
The $199 inflatable features a monster head with glowing eyes and four detachable fluorescent green light-up tentacles that you can arrange around your yard to scare your neighbors and any unwelcome visitors.
It may be difficult to think about Halloween and trick-or-treating when you’re still trying to keep cool during patio season, but the popularity of the Kraken Halloween inflatable — which looks like a huge glowing octopus emerging from the depths of your lawn — is a good reason to get your Halloween shopping done early.
The Kraken monster is already out of stock, just days after it dropped online and at Lowe’s stores, cementing its spot as the must-have new Halloween yard decoration this year.
According to Google, people are leaning into the ocean Halloween aesthetic this year, with searches for the phrase up 200% this quarter. Among the selection of undead divers and sea witches in Lowe’s Haunted Living collection, the 3.5-foot LED decoration stands out.
If other spooky sea creatures suit your style more than the kraken, the Lowe’s collection has a lot to offer, including a freestanding monster with octopus tentacles coming out of its mouth.
TikTokers are already sharing videos of the spooky new installation, which looks somehow even cooler in person than on the website. While Lowe’s Kraken is not currently available online, it’s worth calling your closest Lowe’s to see if it’s in stock in store or signing up for email notifications so you can snag it before October.
Or perhaps you could pick up a truly terrifying LED talking caption who’s steering a ghostly ship? Whatever floats your (haunted) boat!
