Here’s When You Can Catch Marie Kondo’s New Netflix Show
If you’re still feeling fatigue from pandemic-induced cleaning and organizing, Netflix is here to revive your motivation and, ahem, spark joy. “Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo,” the organizational entrepreneur’s latest Netflix venture, is hitting the streaming service on Tuesday, August 31, with Kondo taking her talents to towns across America.
The Tokyo native’s 2019 Netflix series, “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo,” followed Kondo as she helped declutter the homes of eight American families. This series takes her signature approach to tidying up a step further, offering a more personal glimpse into Kondo’s life behind the scenes as she’s become one of the most famous cleaning experts worldwide.
Per a synopsis of the forthcoming three-episode series, fans will get to see “how the fundamentals of the KonMari method can affect our businesses, relationships and communities. The impacts of tidying are surprising, emotional and transformative in the lives of the people Marie meets. Throughout the process, viewers will also step into Marie’s own home, meet her family, and get a glimpse into how she sparks joy in her daily life.”
The new series was previously announced back in March 2020, and fans have no doubt been eager for more information about Kondo’s return to Netflix as they spent the better part of 2020 staying home and refreshing their own spaces.
It’s unclear if the series had experienced delays due to the pandemic, but it’s clear viewers have been clamoring for more of her signature sage wisdom and keen eye for organization.
The series will debut just in time for any end of summer, back to school, or early fall cleanouts you have in mind, and with just three 40-minute episodes, it makes for a perfect quick watch as you mosey between projects.
