Marshalls Is Launching an Online Store and We’re Officially Never Leaving Our Beds
Discount shopping is an artform. It requires skill, dedication, and plenty of free time to psych yourself up to spend hours combing through the racks at Marshalls, hoping to uncover that one-of-a-kind markdown score. It’s not for the faint of heart, or the person who shops for convenience: You need to be driven by savings.
After years of having to schlep all the way to your local store to enjoy the deals, prayers everywhere have been answered. The TJX Company—parent company of T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods (a.k.a. the trifecta)—announced last week that an online shopping site for Marshalls will be launching in 2019.
Marshall’s website currently only has a store locator, a gift card buying page, and a few other helpful features, but that’s all about to change. “We have learned a lot from TJMaxx.com,” CEO Ernie Herrman said according to Business Insider. “We really believe it drives incremental store traffic,” he said, adding ,”It is going to encourage cross-shopping.”
So now you can indulge in the deals without having to get out of your pajamas. Translation: This is a total game changer. I mean, I may or may not have already bookmarked Marshalls.com in preparation for the big launch to make sure not a single sale is missed when the store goes live. Nothing haunts me like a sale I didn’t take advantage of, or finding out a dress I’ve been contemplating buying is now sold out in my size.
TJMaxx.com launched in 2013 and offers a different assortment of items than its store inventory, which will be the same case for Marshalls. This means shoppers will now have access to even more steals and deals, all while giving us dedicated Marshall-goers a bigger thrill from scouring the best in-store finds.
