An Eye Massager Is the Best Thing I’ve Used to Relax After Staring at Screens All Day
As a writer and a person living in 2026, I spend most of my time staring at screens. I don’t dare to check my screen time because I know the number would be astronomical. Blame it on my chronically online lifestyle or the current state of the world (it’s definitely both), but by the time I shut my laptop and put down my phone, I don’t feel great. I feel stressed and high-strung, and I’ve been known to suffer from migraines and tension around my eyes and temples. It sounds counterintuitive that I’d find the solution in another device, but the RENPHO x Headspace Eyeris Zen Eye Massager has helped me a ton. Keep reading for my honest thoughts.

Design Features That Stand Out
The first thing that impressed me about the eye massager was the nine built-in Headspace meditations. Every gadget requires a phone app or subscription these days, so the fact that I can indulge in some mindful relaxation without relying on my phone or committing to a monthly payment was refreshing. And if you decide that you want more meditations to choose from, you do have the option to connect the massager to your phone via Bluetooth to stream music or more Headspace meditations. Renpho includes two months of free Headspace, too.
I also appreciate how easy the massager is to use. Initially, I was intimidated at the thought of navigating meditations, or adjusting air pressure while it’s on my face and I can’t see a thing. But the massager’s raised, tactile buttons are easy to distinguish by touch alone. What’s more, it has a memory feature that automatically remembers the settings I selected during my last use. So I don’t have to fiddle with it much at all.
How It Performed
The Renpho x Headspace eye massager is the tool I needed to truly disconnect after a long day. Treating myself to a nightly massage and meditation has not only helped me ditch my pre-bedtime scroll, but it has also helped calm my overstimulated mind before I go to sleep, which — surprise, surprise — helps me achieve a deeper, more restful snooze.
My favorite meditation is the “Relaxing the Muscles” wind-down routine paired with the Tension Relief massage. I spend all day furrowing my brow at screens, so the ultra-soothing massage and gentle heat help release all the pent-up stress behind my eyes and temples (which is where my headaches seem to start). When I remove the mask, I feel more grounded and relaxed. It’s like the “factory reset” I’ve been missing.
I also think it’s pretty unobtrusive for an eye massager. It’s fairly lightweight and feels comfortable to wear, with a faux leather lining and a thick, stretchy band that easily adjusts for the best fit. What’s more, it’s quiet. So quiet that I can barely hear the massager’s motor, and it has volume controls for the meditations, too. And if I ever want the massage without the guided meditation, I can silence it altogether.
So I never have to go without my nightly dose of calm, the massager has a convenient fold down the middle that makes it easy to store in the included carrying case. You better believe I’ll be bringing it with me on my next work trip!
