As AT’s Senior Style Editor, I cover the latest interior design trends, expert decorating ideas, and must-see home products. Whenever I’m not keeping tabs on the next TikTok “core” or buzzy IKEA collection, I’m most likely reading, online shopping, or looking for the best tacos in New York (recs are encouraged).

Small-space dwellers, take heed: For Small/Cool NYC, we asked a handful of designers to create their own rooms using today’s top home trends. Oh, and did I mention, all within 120 square feet, to boot? The results are twelve uniquely-designed bedroom, living room, office, dining room, and even outdoor spaces, all of which are packed with stylish decorating inspiration and are fully shoppable so you can get the looks for your own home.

There’s no shortage of beautiful furniture pieces and accents to love from each compact creation, but one category specifically excelled across the board: small-space decor. Below, I rounded up some of my favorite Small/Cool finds — from stylish storage solutions to seating ideas — that are absolutely perfect for decorating small spaces. Because, as designer Jessica Davis explains, “detail is everything, and even small elements can come together to make the whole design of the room sing as something totally unique.”

Cache Single Metal Locker Storage Cabinet
$289

This locker — designed by The Novogratz and seen in their "Be Our Guest" bedroom scene — is such a fun, throwback storage idea. It’s surprisingly spacious inside, too, with four shelves.

Storage Gems
$64

As seen in both Jessica Davis' "Memphis-Deco" and Kyle Ortiz's "California Cool" creations, these acrylic box sets are the perfect pop of color. They can store jewelry, hair ties, you name it, and then instantly stack on top of your nightstand, dresser, or bathroom counter.

Hand-Woven Rattan Bowls, Set of 3
$70

These three rattan bowls from Jordan Ferney's "Happy@Home" space look amazing nested together, or spread out around your house. Either way, they’re great for holding little trinkets.

$70 at Burke Decor
Lenia Floating Night Stand (2x)
$199

No floor space? No problem. Kyle Ortiz's room features two of these floating one-drawer nightstands, which attach to any wall near your bed.

Charron Stool
$475

Double the seating in any room with this little upholstered ottoman, which comes in two different sizes. From designer Christiane Lemieux's line and on display in her "Modern Archival" vignette, it’s soft, stylish, and super easy to tuck away.
