Outdoor patio with wooden steps, string lights, white sofa, blue pillows, and lush greenery.

It’s the time of year when I can’t step outside of my house without crossing paths with mosquitoes. I’ve lived in Louisiana most of my life, so it’s something I’ve gotten used to, but that doesn’t make it any less unpleasant. From sprays to pods to incense, mosquito repellents are staples in my outdoor necessities. But the standout product that keeps the bugs away isn’t in my home, but outside of it: the TIKI BiteFighter Mosquito-Repellent String Lights.

During Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, you can save on thousands of items from tech and beauty to designer-approved home goods through March 31. And these mosquito-repelling lights are marked down for a limited time!

What Are the TIKI BiteFighter Mosquito-Repellent Outdoor String Lights?

Odorless and mess-free, TIKI’s BiteFighter Outdoor String Lights are an aesthetically pleasing and covert method of battling mosquitoes in plain sight. Each cord measures 36 feet and is equipped with hanging loops, safety notches, and three sockets for repellent pods that are stationed discreetly between 14 shatter-resistant LED lights. The mosquito repellent pods provide up to 200 hours of protection and can conveniently be controlled separately from the lights with a built-in power switch.

My best piece of advice for extending the lifespan of the BiteFighter’s mosquito-repellent cartridges between refills is to only use as many pods as you’ll actually need. Each cartridge covers a range of approximately 330 square feet, and you can place them strategically. For my patio, I use one pod in the area where I spend the most time and only add more if many people are visiting. It’s effective and saves me money in the long run since I don’t have to worry about the pods running out earlier than expected.

What Amazon Shoppers Are Saying

Average Rating: 4.3 / 5

“These lights really keep the mosquitoes away. We like to sit on our back deck in the evenings. These mosquito repellents keep the bugs away and fit in well without party lights. We have also given them to family members as gifts because they work so well. We have to buy replacement bulbs at least once during the summer so they become a bit pricey, but we consider it money well spent.” —Daniel Slagle

“We purchased these to keep all the bugs, especially mosquitoes, away from our backyard. I had lost track and saw them empty. I’m not going to lie, (being empty) a day later we had flies, mosquitoes, and other flying insects everywhere. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but I don’t mind paying the price when you know the product works 100%.” —Lily

“Bought this product for a family cookout. Prior to that event, [after] an evening by the fire with friends being bitten by mosquitoes, I knew I had to do something about making it more comfortable. After reading good reviews about this product, I thought I’d give it a try. Bought two strands, set them up for the event, and they worked so well I have been asked to send the info for this product to many who were there!” — Amazon Customer
