Your bed is arguably the most important part of your home. It’s where you retreat after a long day, curl up under the covers, munch on popcorn while binging your favorite TV show, and — most importantly — get a good night’s rest that often dictates your energy and mood for the next day. In order to take care of yourself, you need to make sure your bed takes care of you — and Todrick Hall’s throne of a bed is prime inspiration for that.

Earlier this year, the multi-talented icon took to Instagram to spotlight his new custom-made bed. What Hall called his “California Louis Vuitton King Bed” is exactly what it sounds like — a king-sized bed elevated on a branded platform in the Louis Vuitton pattern, logo, and color palette. But in a recent interview with Apartment Therapy, he went deeper into the details of the bed, including how many people it can fit and what it feels and sounds like (yes, you read that correctly).

One reason Hall loves his decked-out bed is because of its grand size. “My bed can fit like four people in it, so sometimes my best friends come over and we fall asleep watching a movie with the vibrate on,” Hall told Apartment Therapy. “Your bed should be one of your favorite parts of the house because you spend so much time in it.”

Now, let’s talk about that vibrate part. One of the reasons Hall wanted to get this bed in the first place is because of its vibrating feature, which reminds him of traveling on a tour bus. “I get the best sleep in the world when I’m on tour because I love the movement of the bus and how your body moves with it, it just makes me so happy,” Hall explained. “When I saw that feature I was like, this is the closest thing I’m going to get to being able to feel like I’m sleeping on a tour bus every night.”

However, what Hall didn’t realize is that he would start associating the vibrating with how his cats’ purrs feel and sound. On his Instagram and through his partnership with AutoPets, it’s clear that Hall is a very proud pet parent, and so the fact that he identifies what he calls “the showstopper of the house” with his cats says it all.

Just when you thought Hall’s dreamy bed couldn’t get any better, it also serves as his nightstand with an abundance of storage, complete with built-in drawers and dedicated spots for his chargers, remote controls, and wellness products. Because, of course it does.

While this is truly a one-of-a-kind bed and isn’t an easy one to recreate, Hall’s vision can serve as inspiration for dreaming up your own personalized bed.
