I Had No Towel Storage in My Tiny Bathroom Until I Found This “Ingenious” Solution (It’s a Game Changer!)
After spending a year in a spacious apartment, I decided to go back to living alone — so I’m once again in a tiny studio with a miniscule bathroom. It’s worth it to not have roommates, but I’ll admit that after being briefly spoiled with a roomy bathroom, the lack of storage is as frustrating as I remember. However, I’ve been introducing some clever products to make the most of it: a cute green cabinet, a narrow rolling cart, and a wall-mounted towel rack.
That last one has made a huge difference over the past few months. Before, I shoved all of my bath towels in a dresser drawer, which was not working. The towel rack holds my fluffiest towels, and I stacked my washcloths on top of those. (For a visual reference, see here.) It wasn’t ideal for that purpose, though, because my washcloths were constantly falling over. I needed a solution, and it came in the form of Yamazaki’s ingenious Interlocking Towel Organizer, which is 15% off on Amazon right now.
What Is the Yamazaki Interlocking Towel Organizer?
I’m no stranger to Yamazaki products — its kitchen shelf risers and purse hooks are game-changers in my studio — so it came as no surprise that this towel organizer impressed me. It’s simple, but that doesn’t make its design any less clever. It consists of two U-shaped pieces that interlock. You can adjust them to hold larger bath towels, allowing for more space between the vertical steel pieces, or configure it like I did, with narrower gaps for washcloths. Either way, once you roll your towels and stack them on top of each other, they’ll stay secure. It could even organize T-shirts, too!
Why I Love the Yamazaki Interlocking Towel Organizer
The photo speaks for itself, but I can’t stop gushing about how well this organizer solves my towel storage problem. You can easily fit at least six washcloths in each slot, which is more than enough to accommodate my collection. I don’t have enough storage to keep my washcloths in a cabinet or linen closet, so this organizer is the perfect solution to keeping them looking nice and tidy out in the open. (Although it would be useful behind a closed door on a shelf, too.) When my washcloths were folded and stacked on top of each other, they would topple over constantly, and it just looked messy no matter what.
Even though the change seems small, this gem has made my bathroom look enormously more put-together. The slim profile of the metal organizer is hardly noticeable, and the handles are convenient for moving the entire organizer — towels and all — whenever the need arises. The pieces remain securely locked together even then. Not to mention, it’s a match made in heaven with my bathroom’s narrow rolling cart, which I got at Target. The organizer’s width is the same as the cart’s top shelf! Trust me — it’s definitely worth grabbing this find while it’s on sale.
