Green painted bedroom with colorfully made bed.

I’m a bedding girl through and through. It’s one of my favorite things to buy for my apartment — particularly during the winter. Not only am I spending more time at home — so my bed definitely needs to be as cozy as possible for lounging as well as sleeping — but my apartment also has a studio layout. That means my bedroom and living room are all rolled up into one, so my bed always needs to look put-together.

I look for pieces that are cute as well as comfortable for my bed. So far, I’ve layered up a gorgeous green Brooklinen quilt, a waffle-textured Pottery Barn comforter, and some floral-printed flannel sheets. The only thing missing is the perfect throw blanket. Don’t get me wrong — I do already own a few, but none of them gel with the rest of my bedding (they either sport a too-busy print or clashing color, or they’re a bit too heavy for layering). Finally, I scored one from Bedsure that has it all: an ultra-soft feel, a light weight, just enough warmth, and a gorgeous look. Over 6,000 Amazon shoppers have grabbed one, too, because it’s also almost half off at $12.

What Is the Bedsure Super Soft Throw Blanket?

I’m no stranger to Bedsure’s bedding; the popular Amazon brand is behind one of my favorite sheets sets, which has a luxurious feel that rivals some of my $100-plus ones. Further, Bedsure has earned spots in our Best List series repeatedly, ranging from its cooling pillow to its quilt set. If you’re after quality bedding at an affordable price point, a number of our editors would instantly recommend Bedsure — including myself.

So, even though a $12 price tag might make some shoppers a bit doubtful of quality, I had a feeling this blanket was going to deliver — and it has. It’s available in neutral colors like white and brown as well as jewel tones like sage green and purple, and it measures 50 by 60 inches. (You can also go with a size that matches your bed, if you’re after full coverage.) It’s also lightweight and breathable, despite offering a cozy fluffiness. The material has a beautiful jacquard pattern design to add some visual interest.

Why I Love the Bedsure Super Soft Throw Blanket

I brought this blanket back home to Texas for the holidays. I usually become a professional bed (or sofa) rotter when I go back to my parents’ house, so I stayed wrapped up in this throw for a good chunk of time. The buttery softness had me never wanting to part with it; I kept it wrapped around my shoulders as I shuffled from my bedroom to the living room. I’m fairly short at a little over 5 feet tall, so I had no problems with the regular size, but there’s also an extra-large throw that’ll give you 10 more inches.

When the AC was cranked up in my parents’ house, which was often, I relied on this throw to keep me comfortable. I appreciate that it’s warm without feeling too heavy or suffocating — and the lack of thickness allows it to fold more compactly, if you’re short on storage. I’m also an enormous fan of the blanket’s look, in addition to its softness and weight. Draped along the couch or the foot of the bed, it adds some depth through its texture, but because it’s the same color all over, it doesn’t overwhelm the space.

The true test, however, was how well it held up in the wash. I’m happy to report that there was not an ounce of shedding after the blanket went through the washer and dryer, as well as no pilling to speak of. I’ve had more than a few fuzzy blankets end up matted after running through the machine, but Bedsure’s throw still looks as good as new. Even more importantly, it feels just as velvety as the day it came out of the package.

You can never have too many throws, in my opinion, especially in the winter, so I recommend grabbing at least one of these. You can even mix and match colors — snag one for your bed as a warm layer, and one for curling up on your couch. You can get two for the price of what one normally costs, after all!

Buy: Bedsure Super Soft Throw Blanket, $12.99 (normally $22.39)
