This Always Sold-Out Costco Find Is Back Just in Time for Spring — And It Got a Major Upgrade
It might be hard to believe right now, but spring is around the corner. Before you know it, you’ll be sweating in the summer heat! Just like you might stock up on blankets ahead of the winter, now is a good time to acquire any cool stuff you may need for the warmer months.
A good quality fan is a worthwhile investment no matter what time of year it is, especially for people with unevenly heated or cooled homes or people (like me) who enjoy white noise while they sleep. One of the most popular fan brands at Costco, the Woozoo, is back in stock — this time with a freestanding fan that could be a springtime game-changer, provided you get one before they inevitably sell out.
What Is the Costco Woozoo 360 Pedestal Fan?
Thanks to @costcohotfinds on Instagram, I now know Costco has the sought-after Woozoo oscillating fan in stock once again. This model is a lot bigger than the Woozoo fan Costco sold last spring, which is intended for a desk or nightstand. The Woozoo 360 Pedestal Fan is freestanding, so you don’t need a surface to place it on. However, if you do want a desk fan, this one is adjustable, so you can indeed make it small enough to fit on a table. It’s 36 inches at its tallest, but can shrink down to 21 inches.
The fan has two speeds, three air flow modes, and a timer, and can be controlled with a remote or buttons on the base of the pedestal. Not only does this fan automatically oscillate from side to side, but it also oscillates up, down, and essentially all around — 360 degrees, to be exact. It’s also honestly pretty fun to watch, and it costs a fairly reasonable $79.99.
An Alternative to Shop if You Don’t Have a Costco Membership
As great a resource as Costco can be, not everyone has access to one in their area or wants to pay for a membership. If you’re one of those people and find that this fan has caught your eye, fret not, for Costco isn’t the only place you’ll ever be able to find it. Walmart has a Woozoo pedestal fan in stock right now, but at $130, it’s almost double the price.
And if you do have a Costco membership but are in the market for a smaller, simpler fan, note that the warehouse also still offers a more compact oscillating Woozoo for $46.99 that would fit perfectly on a nightstand with room to spare. Plus, you can find a similar model of the globe fan — three speeds, not five — at Wayfair and The Container Store, for $48 and $70, respectively.
