Moroccan textiles are having a huge moment in home decor: Beni Ourain berber rugs, Moroccan wedding blankets (as throws, wall hangings, rugs), and, while I love both of those, there's another accent that has my heart: the pom pom blanket.
These aren't just regular ol' pom poms; they are gigantic pom poms (and tassels). Used on beds and sofas by lovers of the bohemian look, I specifically am drawn to them because, as much as I love the boho aesthetic, it's just not polished enough for me, so the Moroccan pom pom blanket adds just enough of that carefree anything-goes energy.
Traditionally made of berber wool, this style of blanket can also be found in lighter cottons (in case you live in a warm climate like I do, and not the freezing cold Atlas Mountains). No matter their material makeup though, one of these beauties may find their way into my bedroom soon enough. I put together a little eye candy, and rounded up a handful of great shopping options to bring the "it" accessory home yourself.

Everything about this bedroom spotted on Amber Interiors' Instagram is perfect to me: the roman shades layered with linen draperies, crisp palette, uphosltered bed frame and just enough pattern via the rug and throw pillows. Oh, and of course, that amazing pom pom blanket.
While a neutral pom pom blanket is great for added mostly texture to a room, a juicy cobalt throw like this one from My Domaine can really make a room.
I know this is a nursery, but I'm actually quite jealous of this space from Petit and Small. Swap out the crib I'll take the room as is for my adult self (tiny little doll chair and all!).
Sarah Sherman Samuel can do no wrong in my book. And though this bedroom has plenty of warmth and texture going for it, the simple white duvet is elevated with the help of even more warmth and texture from the neutral blanket.
There is basically nothing in this room set up from Croft House except a platform bed (and I'm pretty sure a plant), except it looks awfully inviting. Why? Well...the pom pom blanket of course!
I've long had a crush on this little bedroom (the Australian home in which it's from is actually in a shed!), mostly because of that fantastic navy and fuchsia throw. The giant tassels are definitely the focal point, and you can get the same one (except in a different color) from Kip & Co.
