If there’s one thing to know about me, it’s how much I love color. From clothing and decor to kitchen appliances and storage, you can find pops of blue, green, yellow, and more just about everywhere (strategically, of course). I was introduced to Mustard Made’s vibrant lockers two years ago when I added The Midi to my office setup, and the brand has been a mainstay ever since. In fact, since then, I’ve gotten the chance to test two more versatile picks that streamline organization in my space: The Lowdown and The Standard.

Mustard Made doesn’t have sales very often, so when one arrives, it’s best to hop on it while you can. Now through Nov. 12, the woman-owned brand is hosting its Annual Sale, where you can score up to 25% off sitewide. That includes all three lockers I own, plus the wardrobe and locker accessories. You can also get 10% off the newly launched Glass Collection — and yes, the deal even extends to the trendy champagne flutes. Read on to find out what makes these lockers worthwhile!

What Are Mustard Made Lockers?

Inspired by the popularity of industrial style in the ‘60s and ‘70s (and one founder’s collection of metal lockers found roadside and in antique shops), Mustard Made took a classic storage piece and upgraded it for the modern home. The Original Locker Collection is currently available in four sizes and 12 colors that you can pair with matching accessories that include hangers, storage baskets, and magnets. The brand also offers color-complementary floating shelves if you have a space you’d like to mix and match through and through.

The lockers are an excellent option for those looking to add instant storage with a touch of style for clothing, entertainment centers, consoles, kitchen essentials, and more. Though the doors close securely with the help of built-in magnets, each locker comes with a set of keys (one per door) to lock them for added security. That’s especially helpful for those using the locker as a bar cabinet (like me!). There’s also an opening in the back of the units for power cords from gaming devices and other tech that you’d like to store inside. Shelves for the locker are also included with your purchase, and extra shelves can be ordered at any time.

Mustard Made’s Glass Collection is available in three sizes and upgrades the lockers with fluted glass front panels. The Kit, a compact model inspired by “vintage medicine cabinets,” also stands out as the brand’s first wall-mounted option.

Why I Love Mustard Made Lockers

In addition to trying out the Midi locker, I have The Lowdown and The Standard. Both of these Mustard Made lockers are essentially media consoles with two different silhouettes.

I have The Lowdown in Poppy, a bold and playful red that’s extremely popular in this style (it’s already sold out once!). When I lived in an apartment, I had the locker in my office as storage for puzzles and the overflow of books from my bookshelves. Additionally, because it’s made of metal, I decorated mine with magnets and even added magnetic storage bins to the outside for small items, like card decks. Now that I’m in a house, it’s in the foyer as a bar cabinet. Inside, I have the shelves set in a high placement while the bottles of spirits are kept to one side underneath. On the other side, I have my champagne and wine glasses that were previously taking up space in a bathroom cabinet. (As you can imagine, I couldn’t be happier about that change!)

The Standard, which I have in Butter, is a longer and lower locker that’s an ideal piece for a TV console. Mine is placed in a guest room and is stocked with board games, card games, and puzzles. Eventually, I plan to put a television on top of it; but for now, only my record player and vinyls are taking up that coveted space. I love all of my Mustard Made lockers for different reasons, but The Standard is probably my favorite. However, I’ll also say that it’s the one I’d highly recommend you get help to assemble – just because of its long length. I put all of the lockers together myself with minimal trouble, but as someone who’s only 5’2”, my arm span wasn’t doing me any favors when trying to build The Standard.

So, if you’re like me and love colorful accents and furniture finds, put Mustard Made on your list. The lockers are durable and well-made, and the colors look even better in person. Plus, since you can get them on sale right now (which is SO rare!), you can get a jumpstart on redecorating without paying full price. Talk about a win!
