I Just Found a Space-Saving Alternative to Clothes Storage Bins for My Closet

Since finding and testing out game-changing home organization items is part of my job, it’s not every day that I stumble across something that I’ve really never seen before. When it comes to closet organizers in particular, there are only so many different variations of clothes storage boxes and hangers out there — though some are definitely better than others. Somehow, though, I came across an item that made me do a double take as I was scrolling. I’m no stranger to organizers that hook onto your closet rod, but they usually just offer some open compartments for folded sweaters, leggings, or pretty much anything you don’t want to hang. QVC’s Periea Hanging Boxes, though, are unique in that they zip closed and also have a rod attached to the bottom, so you can make even more use of your storage space. 

Coming in a set of two, these boxes are such a clever space-saver. If you don’t have a shelf in the upper part of your closet for regular storage bins, you can use these as an alternative. The box portion will keep your out-of-season clothing out of the way, while you hang the in-season pieces on the bar below. You could also just stow the items you’d rather keep folded — for me, those are sweaters and jeans — in the bins, which measure 15.7x13x9.8 inches. Once you add these to your closet, you might even end up freeing up a dresser drawer!

Whatever you place in them will be easy to access thanks to the top and front zipper openings — another benefit this find has over most hanging organizers, which are usually open and zipper-less. Nothing will topple over and out onto the floor, but you also can still see the boxes’ contents at all times through the clear viewing window. If you do end up needing to take the boxes off of their hooks, the heavy-duty handles on either side make that completely painless.
