One of the biggest perks of working at Apartment Therapy’s sister site, Kitchn, has been the joy of discovering new food brands. From delicious ice creams to nut butter to high-quality coffee, my pantry and palate are constantly on an exciting adventure. These new discoveries have also come in handy when it comes to gift shopping. In fact, one of my favorite brands to gift for any occasion would have to be Brightland. Besides producing olive oils that Kitchn editors gave to everyone last holiday season, they also make vinegars that our Features Director, Arie, chose as her go-to gift for 2020. But she might change her mind, because Brightland just launched The Mini Essentials Set, which includes a collection of vinegars and olive oils that are just the right size for stuffing into your favorite food lover’s stocking.

The set, which sells for $70, consists of four 3.4-oz. bottles of Brightland bestsellers: Parasol, Rapture, Awake, and Alive. Parasol and Rapture are fruit-forward vinegar flavors that are great for salads, desserts, and cocktails. Arie, who recently tested their vinegars, said they were unlike anything she’s ever had before and she “could seriously drink the stuff.” Awake and Alive are the super-popular olive oils that really put Brightland on every food lover’s radar. The flavors are bright, nutty, and fresh, and can even liven up a dry piece of toast (trust me, I know!). A slight drizzle over store-bought vanilla ice cream elevates it to gourmet status, and it’s also great for preparing everyday meals, especially pasta dishes.

Flavors aside, Brightland’s Mini Essentials set is also a gift you’ll feel pretty darn good giving. For starters, the brand works with a single-estate California farm to make traceable-quality products using sustainable practices. Each bottle bears the exact harvest date and is UV-coated to protect contents from light damage. Once you’re done devouring every last drop of olive and vinegar, you can upcycle the beautiful glass bottles as vases.

The set of four bottles is truly a great way to introduce the brand to a loved one and treat them to high-quality ingredients they’ll enjoy. Plus, it’s delivered in a bright beautiful box so you don’t even have to bother with gift wrapping. Just add a little personalized note, and you’re good to go. It’s also a fun little treat for yourself…or so I’m telling my husband as I wait for my own box to arrive!
