Baskets are one of those things that absolutely fall into the category of “you can never have enough.” They’re hard working, provide plenty of storage solutions and can be downright pretty. We’ve rounded up 16 of our favorite storage baskets nice enough to incorporate into your decor (while stashing away things you don’t want out in the open).

LOW

It’s woven. It has handles. It has a pretty accent color. What more could you want? It’s also available in small or large, for all your storing needs.

Though I’m a little bummed the lids and labels on these sturdy baskets are sold separately, I dig the deep charcoal color and the varied perforations so you can get a peek inside without having to dismantle everything. Reviewers seem to agree, as these have a perfect 5-star rating.

Is this the OG basket? Possibly, and I like it! Store your apples or your towels—either way, it’ll add a down home country vibe to any space.

I have a few of these scattered around my home, and every time I get a glimpse of the copper-colored handles, it makes me happy. They’re great for holding sheets, blankets, vegetables, cleaning supplies, you name it! They come in multiple sizes, from wide and tall, to short and flat.

Our Previous Lists:

MEDIUM

Storing toilet paper in your bathroom isn’t exactly a charming, lovely sight, so I suggest using this lidded rectangular basket for just that purpose!

A simple basket that’s elegant enough to leave out in the open. The sturdy, linen-like shell would look pretty on a console, in a bookcase or even just on the floor.

I’ve had my eye on this basket since the VIKTIGT collection launched last May. The subtle ikat-y pattern takes a simple shape to the next level.

Sure, plastic underbed bins work really, really well, but sometimes, you want something prettier, especially if you have a platform bed without a skirt.

At 18″ wide and 10″ deep, this basket is more than just pretty in pink. Perfect for stashing toys, shoes, throw pillows, it could also work as a graphic overlay for a tree planter.

Who said a basket had to take itself seriously? When in doubt, add fringe.

Other Good Resources:

HIGH

Rope baskets are incredibly sturdy and can take serious beatings, so this one is great for high-traffic areas and usage.

Who can resist pompoms? Not I. Definitely a little on the pricier side, but it’ll add a fun touch to whatever room it graces.

Globally inspired textiles and decor is everywhere these days, but this lidded basket from Serena & Lily is subtle enough that once the trend dies down, it’ll still be en vogue.

These handmade baskets are pretty and they help to make a difference. Every purchase of one of these attractive baskets helps supports the women who create them by improving their housing, putting their children through school and helping to feed their families. Available in medium and large, as well as a multitude of colors.

This would be great in a kitchen for towels and recipes, the office for odds and ends and all the papers, a foyer to catch mail, and beyond.

These are a great solution for small spaces as they do double duty: lift the lid and stuff them with blankets, pillows and more; top them back off and you’ve got yourself a side table.
