Don’t have plans for this weekend? Although it may be the end of July, it’s only the beginning of Beyoncé’s seventh studio album release weekend, and you ought to throw a party to celebrate.

After all, the end of the summer is close, so hosting a themed party at your home can be a good excuse to have one final summer soiree. Queen Bey’s 16-track album, “Renaissance,” is available on Friday, July 29, and is projected to sound similar to its dance-pop single, “BREAK MY SOUL.” If you’ve never thrown a listening party before but want to be an excellent host, here’s how to impress your guests with a funky playlist and equally groovy decor.

Create a playlist/have a DJ for the night

Planning for this party doesn’t have to be too complex or extravagant, since a listening party is exactly what it sounds like. In honor of the album’s house and disco influence, you’ll need to prepare for this party by choosing music that matches the occasion. Whether you’re making a collaborative playlist, keeping aux to yourself, or breaking out your record player, don’t forget to add some of Beyoncé’s danceable hits from all of her albums.

Beyoncé-fy the menu

A variety of refreshments will complement the evening, especially if you opt-in for a cocktail flavor. Her sixth album “Lemonade” can double as a reference to her music and a refreshing choice for the drink menu. With your guests bringing dishes and adding pun-friendly names to your drinks, it will probably be a low-stress moment for you as the host, but make sure your guests follow the theme. Don’t forget about the “Bey-Day” cake!

Go with disco decor

This doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to break out an actual dance floor, but having a disco ball in the middle of the room will invite those that are ready to boogie to Queen Bey all night long. Besides the disco ball, you can add few groovy touches to your home like 70s-inspired removable wallpaper or a nostalgic lava lamp that may find its way into your regular decor. A fancy venue isn’t necessary for a memorable night, so take it easy and get your dancing shoes on.

There’s a lot of speculation around the album’s visuals beyond the artwork, but you can mimic “Renaissance’s” cover by adding a strip of LED red lights to your room. Don’t overthink the evening — Bey did tell us to embrace our wiggle, so don’t hold back from enjoying your night!
