Casper Snoozewear Slippers

I’m a house shoe fiend. The fluffier, fuzzier, funnier, the better — an opinion not necessarily shared by my chic fashion producer housemate. She has advised me that there comes a point in our civilized lives when owning a nice pair of slippers (as opposed to pink bunny ones, apparently) becomes necessary… a prerequisite to adulthood as integral as the 401k, it seems. As we transition from winter to the warmth of spring, it was nearly time to store my beloved shearling stand-bys for the season, so it was kismet when Casper recently launched its brand new Snoozewear collection, complete with a housecoat, eye mask, and the minimalist micro-suede slippers that now guide my every step towards the new, sophisticated me.

Adopting the Casper slippers into my WFH wardrobe hasn’t involved a single sacrifice on my part. I still get everything I actually want in a house shoe, even without bunny ears. The slippers have a micro-suede insole that feels like cashmere, just without the same high level of insulation. They’re immediately soft to slip into, they wrap around and hug your foot — no toe-curling to keep them in place — and are supremely temperature regulating. It’s as if the micro-suede senses the fluctuation of body temperature and reacts accordingly, retaining or expelling heat as necessary. I don’t sweat when I wear them, nor do my feet get chilly.

What’s more, they make each step feel like you’re following a breadcrumb trail of mini Casper mattresses. These slippers are designed with Casper’s ultra-soft foam quilted into the insole, so they’re surprisingly soft and supportive for how thin and flexible they are. That’s why they’re so easy to pack, too, so they come with me wherever I’m working from someone else’s home. They don’t succumb to the pressures and contortions of being packed in an over-stuffed carry-on, so they look good as new when I whip them out after a long-haul trip.

One tip I have when grabbing a pair of your own Casper slippers: Pay close attention to the sizing, as they can run a bit small. If you’re closest to the largest numerical size in the range (i.e. a medium is listed to fit women’s sizes 8-9 and men’s sizes 7-8), I recommend sizing up to the next letter size. Other than that, I guarantee you will find the Casper slippers to be a seamless addition to your transition, WFH, and lounge wardrobes. Bunny slippers still have their time and place, but these Casper slippers are the ones that cover every base, all year-round.
