Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson Sell West Hollywood Contemporary For $5.8M
While longtime celebrity couple Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson may have parted ways romantically, their friendship and joint their real estate holdings remain as strong as ever — including the West Hollywood contemporary they built together in 2014.
The hands-on couple of nearly a decade built the contemporary concrete, wood, and glass home together from the ground up in 2014, paying about $2.9 million for the corner lot property — which recently sold for $5.8 million, according to Variety.
Fans of modern design will swoon over the property, which includes a nearly 5,000 square foot five bedroom, four and a half bathroom main house and a two-story, one bedroom, one bathroom guest house separated by a meticulously landscaped pool and patio area, all on a screened-for-seclusion quarter acre lot.
The architecture and decor are a veritable wish list of of-the-moment renovation and new construction features: Sputnik-inspired brass chandeliers; staircases with sculptural interest; painted concrete and glass subway tiles; Juliet balconies; two-sided fireplaces; Midcentury-inspired handcrafted wood built-ins; exposed concrete walls; polished concrete floors; accordion glass doors opening onto xeriscaped and mature cactus-filled landscaping.
It’s a shame the exes, though still famously supportive of one another, didn’t stay together — this piece de resistance shows they really could have given their fellow house-flipping Los Angeles celebs (like Beck and Ellen Pompeo) a run for their money.
Kruger maintains apartments in the Quai Voltaire in Paris and in Tribeca in NYC, and Jackson has a nearly 1.5-acre spread high in the Santa Monica Mountains between Malibu and Topanga that he acquired in early 2002 for $865,000, according to Variety.
