I find myself browsing West Elm frequently — both for work and for fun. What can I say? The site is packed with amazing items that perfectly match my aesthetic. But let’s be real — furnishing my entire home with West Elm would be pretty pricey, so naturally, I’ve started hunting for affordable dupes. It’s no secret that big brands like Walmart, Target, Amazon, and Wayfair often create great alternatives to high-end pieces, so I like to check in.

While all these retailers offer solid options, I turned to Wayfair during its Big Holiday Sale for the steep discounts (up to 60% off!) — which, by the way, is happening right now! With so many beautiful pieces on sale, one item I kept coming back to was the Millwood Pines Celese Sideboard. After a third look, I realized why — it’s practically an exact dupe for West Elm’s Ellington Media Console, but for over $1,000 less!

What Is the Millwood Pines Celese Sideboard?

The Millwood Pines Celese Sideboard is a great addition to dining rooms, entryways, or living spaces. It has a sleek black finish with rounded edges that give it a high-end vibe, and its two doors open up to adjustable shelves, which can be closed all the way or left open for display. It’s perfect for storing everything from china and wine glasses to media equipment or even shoes in an entryway. For the price, the quality’s pretty solid, and the natural grain finish makes it look more expensive than it actually is.

When you compare it to West Elm’s Ellington Media Cabinet, this sideboard is made from cheaper materials and is just 3 inches smaller. West Elm’s piece has only closed storage, while this one has an open display shelf in the middle. Other than the brass knobs on West Elm’s version, the two look super similar — except this one is a lot less expensive!

What Wayfair Reviewers Are Saying

Rating: 4.0/5

“Very, very nice piece of furniture. Solid wood, very well done. I’m very happy about it. It’s not too bulky, is modern, and looks very sophisticated. My dining room is not too big, so the size is just right. I was slightly anxious about buying furniture online, but it was a good choice. Highly recommended.” —Rita

“I love this sideboard. I’ve purchased multiple of them because they have a wide array of uses, and they’re so versatile. Great deal for the price, too.” —Frank

“Love our new sideboard. We’re using it behind one side of an L-shaped couch, and it looks great! It took a few hours to assemble, but it wasn’t hard … just takes patience. All pieces are made of solid wood and great quality, and we like the finish. You can still see the wood grain through the black stain. Also, nice quality extras such as adjustable levelers on the legs, and the interior shelves use pins that screw in rather than push in.” —Anonymous

For $350 on sale, we suggest you run, not walk, to pick up this Millwood Pines Celese Sideboard Cabinet. We’re not sure how long the sale will last, but at 68% off, it’s an incredible deal.
