Perfect Night In is a series where we ask actors, artists, entrepreneurs, and beyond how they’d spend the ultimate luxury—a blissful evening at home.

Bobbi Brown is known for her namesake makeup line that is sold around the globe. But the beauty entrepreneur left the company back in 2016 to start a new chapter, which lead her to focusing on a more natural, wellness-focused approach to beauty—and who doesn’t need that these days?

Brown currently runs a lifestyle and content company called Beauty Evolution, which encompasses multiple brands—from the wellness-focused line Evolution_18 to lifestyle content platform justBOBBI and even her very own MasterClass on makeup and beauty. Oh, and on top of all of that, she’s a certified health coach.

Brown is keeping busy, especially with wellness being more important than ever, but we wondered how she spent time practicing what she preaches. Here’s what her perfect night in looks like—including a sneak peek into her skincare routine and also her relationship with a Dyson.

Set the Scene

Describe your perfect homebody scene in five words: Watching a movie with (a) cocktail.

Are you alone or with someone else? That would be my husband Steven, my three sons, their partners, my nephews, and everyone’s dogs.

What’s your night-in uniform? Basic Hanes T-shirt (the boys sizes fit perfectly on me), J. Crew shorts, and a Jenni Kayne sweatshirt.

What two people, dead or alive, would you let crash your night? Barack and Michelle Obama. They’re welcome any time.

Favorite cozy product: I love a good bathrobe, especially the luxe ones by James Perse.

Now Playing

TV or a movie? Movie, please.

What are you watching? Right now, I’m streaming all the films that would usually be released in theaters.

Silence or music? I’m definitely playing old-school hip hop.

E-books or the real deal? The real deal. While I love my iPad, I much prefer holding a book when I read.

What are you reading? André Leon Talley’s newest book, “The Chiffon Trenches.” Love him.

Board games: yay or nay? Nay. I don’t have the attention span for them!

What’s Cooking

Order in or cook for yourself? Order in, to keep the kitchen clean!

What are you eating? Grilled salmon and greens. I’m a certified health coach, so I keep it balanced.

What drink are you pouring? Tito’s vodka on the rocks, with three olives.

What’s for dessert? Mint Chip Halo Top ice cream.

Late-night snack? I don’t eat after 9 p.m., but at the end of the day I like to take two EVOLUTION_18 Chill gummies, which I developed. They have CBD (no THC) and help me sleep.

Take Care

Do you have a self-care ritual? I’m obsessed with the Augustinus Bader’s The Rich Cream, and if it wasn’t expensive, I’d slather it from head to toe.

What do you try to avoid at all costs? I only want food that helps me feel good, so I stay wary of energy suckers. For me, that’s white flour and white sugar.

Candles: yay or nay? (if yay, what’s your favorite?) Nay.

Beauty masks: yay or nay? Nay. Oddly enough, I’ve never been a beauty mask person. I prefer moisturizers instead.

Bubble bath: yay or nay? Yay, but without bubbles: I prefer soothing Epsom salts.

Chores: yay or nay? Seems like I never stop, so yay. You can find me doing laundry, vacuuming with my new Dyson stick, and visually organizing everything in sight.

Ideal bedtime? 10:30 p.m. I’m an early riser.

Thanks for chatting with us, Bobbi!
