Looks like The Martian star has found a new home here on Earth: Matt Damon is reportedly buying a penthouse in Brooklyn Heights, where if the sale price is close to its listing price, it could set a new record for most expensive sale in the borough. The Wall Street Journal reported the deal earlier this week, noting that the $16.645 million asking price would be a record breaking residential sale for Brooklyn—the current highest being $15.5 million for a Cobble Hill townhouse back in 2015.

Carleen’s kitchen didn’t offer much in the way of counter space but it did provide her with lots of poorly laid green tile, which, shockingly enough, wasn’t much consolation. She decided that she’d had enough and set about renovating her kitchen. A mix of professional help, a handy husband and some smart IKEA finds help her put together a chic new kitchen with plenty more counter space to boot.

Could HGTV Unwittingly Cause a New Housing Crisis?
I love HGTV as much as the next home enthusiast, but it’s no secret that many of their shows take some liberties with reality. Like a plywood set design, the dramatic choices and plot twists are often just flimsy, fictional facades thrown together to make the shows more entertaining.

Add Wow to Your Walls, Even in a Tiny Space
There’s a well-known paradox when it comes to wall decor: the smaller the home, the bigger the challenge. When you’re working with a tiny space, choosing the wrong paint color can make everything claustrophobic. Picking too many patterns makes it way too busy. Small spaces are surprisingly full of complications. Some of us have learned this the hard way, but you don’t have to.
