I recently made the switch to an adjustable standing desk in my office, and it has made a world of difference. By now there’s plenty of evidence that shipping containers can make for some absolutely beautiful residences, but in case you’re not hip to how cool it can actually be to live inside of the bulky structures, have a look-see at this concept shipping container home in Joshua Tree, California and try not to marvel at the modern, sleek renderings.

When I moved to a small town and first encountered an Aldi, I did not understand it. There was, like, one employee working? And you had to pay a quarter for a cart (you get back the quarter, but still, good to know beforehand in case you don’t normally have change on you)? After a couple more visits, however, I was in love, and Aldi is now my favorite grocery store. It’s chock-full of incredibly low-priced food, wine and beyond, and the selection changes constantly.

Good news for Gaines super fans: Joanna is sharing sneak peeks of her new line of furniture for Magnolia Home over on Instagram right now. Jo is currently in High Point, North Carolina setting up High Point furniture market, and she’s sharing quite a few looks at new items coming to the Magnolia Home brand. Magnolia Home is sold at their store in Waco, Texas, and at select retailers (the rugs and pillows debuted at Pier 1 earlier this year). “I am so excited about all the new pieces!

Struggling with a not-so-stylish kitchen? Have a space you love, but want to tap attractive products to round it out aesthetically? Whichever situation you relate to most, sprucing up your counters and cabinets with goods that will make your kitchen look and operate better is a winning strategy (especially when any piece item is super affordable).

For its latest move, IKEA is thinking inside the box. The Swedish retailer has set up a vending machine at a Stockholm subway station, and nope, there’s not a meatball in sight. Instead, the machine at Hötorget station carries small kitchen items like a garlic press, an egg slicer, and other tools.
