During this year’s self-improvement journey, I took a hard look at my sleep hygiene and habits and just overall lifestyle. I’ve always had a bit of trouble getting out of bed in the morning, but for the past few years, my body has felt painfully stiff. Some of that is due to a rather sedentary lifestyle and unlucky genetics (I’m so inflexible that I can’t even touch my toes), but some of it is due to the way I contort myself into a comfortable sleeping position.
Emily and Sean worked with designer Shelby Adamson at Little Black Fox to refresh their Georgia house that, at purchase, was clean and freshly painted but lacking in character. After a refresh, one room is now a deep monochromatic blue from floor to ceiling, and the rest of the house is full of personality.
Lisa and Eddie slowly transformed this space, layering textures of lush rugs and velvet, an antique mirror kitchen backsplash, and moody blue French wash walls to create this 516-square-foot retreat. "The space is small so we had to be thoughtful about the placement of absolutely everything."
