Before & After: Amy & Corey’s All White New Kitchen
Amy Pigliacampo and her husband Corey Szopinski purchased their Echo Park home two years ago. Their house is a very modern prefab design from Sunia Home, which came with a raw material lined kitchen and open floorpan. “We always knew that we would need to redesign the kitchen. It looked cool, but lacked the functionality we needed for our growing family. Our kitchen is the most heavily used area in our home since we cook and eat at home most of the time.

Before & After: Kristen’s Modern Regency Bedroom Makeover
Kristen Hettich has been living in her Burbank duplex for five years now but never had the intention of staying longer than 9 months. This was the very reason she hesitated about really investing in the decor. “I was planning on moving back to South Florida. With this mindset I was thinking temporary furniture and also thinking in the mind frame of a 22 year old.” She also was raising a puppy who was destroying everything.

Before & After: Annette and Gustavo’s Incredible Garage Remodel
Last time I took a visit to Annette and Gustavo’s 100 year old craftsman home in Beachwood Canyon, we were greeted by gorgeous landscaping and one of the coziest family homes I’ve ever seen. Annette is the co-owner of lovely garden shop POTTED in Los Feliz, and her green thumb is all over the family’s recent garage remodel. They gutted the entire 420 square feet and added a fully working kitchen and bathroom, a laundry room, and access to the backyard, complete with a pool.

Kristen Buckingham, a Los Angeles-based interior designer, has created a treasure filled showroom in the center of the La Cienega Design Quarter. With a mix of traditional and modern home goods both large and small scale, her showroom doubles as a design lab and retail space, open to anyone. Most of the time Kristen is busy with her design firm and full roster of clients.

Before & After: Maria’s Vintage Glam Room Remix
Designer Jenny Sanchez and I connected through Instagram recently, where I found her most recent client project, a room makeover she did for her friend Maria Ortiz. Jenny’s main goal was to create a French Glam Vintage look, which was inspired by a simple Chanel bag. This 120 square foot spare bedroom was once a storage catch-all for Maria’s stuff, but her dream was to turn it into a dressing room, a sophisticated spot to apply makeup, prepare for the day, and relax.

Local Fixture
Equal parts general store, apothecary, card shop, and baby boutique: this is Local Fixture, located in a little suburb of LA called Whittier. Whittier is a small, sleep town with cozy homes and matching lawns, and not that much by way of retail. Enter David and Jason Chung, who have taken over this old Edison building and offer quite a mix under one big roof.

Summer Camp In Ojai
Mike and Rachel set their sights on this abandoned midcentury gas station just a few short months ago. With a specific aesthetic and ideas, they’ve created a really wonderful, unique concept shop that brings a little something different to the small town of Ojai. Not only do they offer custom framing, but they also have candles, jewelry, clothing, vintage wares, and paper goods.

Joshua’s Functional Warm Minimalism
Joshua Harris of 4th Wall Entertainment has just moved into his new office inside a famous Hollywood studio lot. Now home to his digital media production house, this office space was once occupied by Desi Arnaz, during the I Love Lucy years. With the help of Jeffrey Eyser and Alexis Karpf, they have transformed this classic space into a modern workspace that is both functional and cozy.
