Well, prepare the defibrillator because Vanessa and her boyfriend Charlie have outdone themselves once again with their Highland Park shop and workspace, Honeywood.

Name: Kristen Pumphrey and Thomas Neuberger of P.F. Candle Co. Location:Arts District; Downtown Los Angeles, California Size: 1,700 square feet Years lived in: 1 year; Rent Kristen and Thomas, owners of P.F. Candle Co, began their operation, grass-roots-style, out of this downtown LA loft. Several employees, large shipments, and making the candles requires ample space, so they are lucky enough to have this amazing production space, plus an additional office that doubles as a showroom.

Name: Micha Thomas and Jaime Lawson of The Made In America Project Location: Laurel Canyon- Los Angeles, California Size: Converted sunroom into a home office 400 Square Feet Years lived in: barely a year, rented Merging their backgrounds in public relations and the fashion industry, Micha and Jaime have created The Made In America Project, which offers a badge of certification to 100% American-made products.

Name: Mark Cutler Design Inc. Location: West Hollywood, California Size: Two floor town house Years worked in: 12 years; Rented Mark Cutler has been designing interior and architectural spaces for years, making his name with residential designs for celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Steve Carrell. He’s a familiar figure on shelter magazines and HGTV, and his newest venture nousDECOR.com launched earlier this month.

Name: Buck Hubach and Nathan Warner, owners of Warbach Lighting & Design Location: East Austin, Texas Size: 2750 square feet Years lived in: Renting 1 year Nathan Warner and Buck Hubach’s lighting designs — simple and complex, modern and geometric — are stylishly brightening homes and businesses around Austin (and more).

Location: Richmond, VA Size: Front office space is 1,600 square feet, back space is 600 square feet Years lived in: 20 years Cabell Harris, the founder and owner of WORK Labs has created an environment that is bursting with creativity and fun. WORK Labs is a creative brand agency in Richmond, VA that promises you that they are always thinking.

Name: Ax + Apple / Founder Jamie Lyn Location: Downtown; Los Angeles, California Size: 800 square feet Years worked in: 1.5 years; rented Blue velvet tufted couch, Barcelona chair, tools and trinkets, a shrine to Rihanna and a fabulous disco ball… feast your eyes on the incredible downtown Los Angeles workspace of Ax + Apple, owned by jewelry designer Jamie Lyn.

Name: Cara Underwood/Underwood Letterpress + Stephanie Collins/Flipbooth Location: In the Unique Space of Downtown Los Angeles Arts District Size: 400 Square Feet Years lived in: Opened November 2013 Every time I visit a new office space inside The Unique Space, I fall in love. The latest is the worksplace of Underwood Press + Flipbooth. I was amazed that there was an old school traditional letter press machine and much more, decorating this small office.

Name: Bridgid Coulter Location: My Design Studio/Showroom, 1419 5th Street, Santa Monica, California, 90401 Size: Entire Space: 900 square feet; Textiles Showroom: approx 450 square feet Years occupied: Since 2009 Bridgid Coulter is not just an interior designer and textile designer — she has also opened a showroom in Santa Monica offering home decor, vintage finds and design services.

Name: Zak Mroueh, Chief Creative Officer & CEO, Zulu Alpha Kilo Location: Toronto, Canada Size: 8,000 square feet Years occupied: 4 While many advertising agencies have a free-spirited and collaborative approach to the creative process, few have taken that philosophy to heart to the degree that Zulu Alpha Kilo’s founder Zak Mroueh has.

Name: Jeanetta Gonzales + Brian Saldivar Location: The Unique Space, in Downtown LA Size: 180 square feet Years lived in: 2 months While poking around Instagram, I discovered Jeanetta and fell in love with her new office. To my delight, it turned out that she shared the space with Brian, inside the incredible new Unique Space in DTLA. This is my third tour of interiors inside the Unique Space, and I have to say— they are quite unique.

Name: Sonja Rasula, Founder of UNIQUE USA Location: The Unique Space // 1275 E 6th Street, LA CA 90021 //Los Angeles Arts District Size: 18,000 square feet Years lived in: I’ve been renovating the space for the past four months, and we just opened in December! Welcome to the Los Angeles Art District’s newest neighbor, The Unique Space! It’s 18,000 square feet of raw warehouse space, completely renovated and redesigned by the incomparable Sonja Rasula.

Name: Matt Leyes, owner and esthetician for The Men’s Grooming Parlor Location: Andersonville; Chicago, Illinois Years lived in: 5 years Matt knew there were men out there who wanted professional grooming services, but didn’t want to end up in a pink robe sitting next to five women in a typical salon waiting room.

Name: Amy Tremper of Stitch & Hammer Location: Boulder, Colorado Size: 350 square feet Years lived in: 8 months; Rented Everyone meet Amy, owner and founder of Stitch & Hammer, a leather goods shop based out of Boulder, Colorado. What started as a desire to reconnect with her family heritage led to a serious side project and quickly (and perhaps somewhat unexpectedly) evolved into an established and fast growing business.

Name: MULU, with Doris Steere (Art Director + Designer)Location: Hollywood — Los Angeles, CaliforniaSize: 3,000 square feetYears lived in: 3 months Mulu is a tech startup, founded by Amaryllis Fox, that powers on-page shopping for publishers like Hearst, Conde Nast, Huffington Post, and Martha Stewart. Mulu’s first year of business was spent in a shared community space, which confirmed their need for a larger office to call their own.

Name: Tamara Brink and Jessica Dolgan / The Humble Pie Store  Location: Baker Neighborhood, Denver, ColoradoSize: 1500 square feetYears occupied: 8 months Remember in elementary school, how there were those chicks who were (crazy) good at everything? I mean, they could paint, rock the perfect outfit everyday, nail the crazy math problem on the chalkboard, and even show up the boys in kickball?

Name: Black Eye Coffee Shop  Location: Highland Neighborhood, Denver, Colorado  Size: 1,200 square feet Years Occupied: 1.5 years, open for 8 months A year and a half ago Ali and Dustin ventured into a dilapidated storefront on Navajo street. It was a space they had walked past a number of times, but that night something was different. The “Coffee Shop Coming Soon” sign that had graced its facade for months had come down, and they were intrigued.

Name: Rodellee Bas- owner of Adore Vintage Location: Fashion District – Downtown Los Angeles, CASize: 300 square feetYears worked in: 2 months Rodellee moved into her downtown workspace just a couple months ago, as she’s expanded the audience of her online vintage shop. She needed to have an official space to get all her e-commerce shoots done, and a place to have shoppers actually come in to try things on.

Name:Tommy Chambers InteriorsLocation: West Hollywood, CaliforniaSize/Room: 1,250 square feet Years lived in: 10 years A couple of weeks ago, we got a peek inside the home of Tommy Chambers, where he puts his skills to personal use in his own abode. Next door to his flat is another apartment which houses his interior design business. Mirroring an identical elongated floor plan, this office is a root of inspiration.

NameNick Keppol Location Size/Room Years lived in Brooklyn-based master typographer Nick Keppol shows us how form truly follows function in his beautiful home office that’s bursting with modern details. Terrariums that add an organic detail, library stacks of creative reads, and enough Herman Miller gear that’ll bring a tear to your eye – everything screams style (or perhaps even slightly obsessive on the curation front, depending on who you ask).

Name: Chris ZeppieriLocation: Boston, MA   Size: 550 square foot apartment + 140 square foot bedroom/workshop We’ve often lamented, “If we only had the space for a workroom” while imagining an ideal space to work on DIY projects for both personal and professional reasons. Space (or there lackof) has always a consideration, but no longer an excuse, after seeing Chris’ workshop inside his one bedroom Boston apartment.

Name: CJ & Renee FolliniLocation: SoHo — NYCYears lived in: 3 CJ Follini and his wife, Renee, graciously invited us to tour their bright, Soho apartment shortly before moving uptown. CJ and Renee took a leap of faith in the purchase of the apartment three years ago: it was bought as part of a user deal from a developer who put a consortium of artists and filmmakers together to purchase the building.
