How To Battle the Forces of Home Tech Evil
Endless entertainment, working and shopping from home, Facetiming and sending gifs of a cat in a monkey suit eating a banana: it’s an enchanting time to be virtually connected. But as we’ve learned from every Disney movie ever, everything tantalizing comes with a potential dark side—in this case, things like malicious viruses, eye strain, and crappy battery life. I Tried Feng Shui: Did the Mystical Principles Deliver on Their Promises?
I work from home as a freelance writer/editor in a room that once was my formal dining room, which I transitioned into an office, as I wasn’t content with sitting at my kitchen island on my laptop for hours on end every day. The room is jam-packed with furniture that didn’t quite work anywhere else in my home. That printed floral chair I bought for a corner of my bedroom that didn’t really fit? It’s in my office.

Cute, Confident and Comfortable: Suki’s Real Life Style
As I packed up my camera at Suki’s Seattle condo, post Home Tour-shoot, she half-joked that she’d been scouring the internet in search of a palm tree dress to match the bold wallpaper print in her bedroom. Sporting a sweet vintage white dress that day, it was clear she’d come up empty-handed, but I couldn’t help but lament for the palm awesomeness that could have been.

Compelling Evidence that Faux Wall Finishes Can Be Cool
Somewhere along the way, fooling people into thinking you have a brick or stone wall — where a mere plain, plaster wall stands — became a very “uncool” thing to do. I’m here to tell you, however, that it’s not always a bad idea. It can look good — and it’s easier to pull off than ever before. We’re not all lucky enough to live in a house or apartment that has its own built-in architectural charm.

Danielle Steel’s Desk Is Truly a Sight to Behold
A woman opened the door to her office. Powerful, successful, creative, she seemingly had it all. But something was missing. Love? No, with millions of adoring fans she had that in spades. Family? No, she was a mother of nine, the matriarch of a warm and happy home. She leaned back into her 4 inch high heels and took stock of the room. As she cast her eyes over her writing desk she knew in an instant what she needed. She scrolled through her Rolodex, “yes, artisans?

We Figured Out What Your Kitchen’s Missing: A Dog Den

Rusty’s ingenious built-in den is why we’re here today. Let’s take a look.

This Man Is Responsible for the Gardens at NYC’s Top Restaurants
It was a gray Friday afternoon, but Studio—a café and restaurant tucked inside the recently opened Freehand New York—felt alive.
