Before & After: Discarded Dollhouse to Stylish Storage
Sam spotted this dollhouse on the street, and even though she had no homeless dolls, she decided to rescue the shelter and turn it into storage. From Sam: I didn’t really want a house-shaped storage cabinet, so after a lot of hammering from my (lack of) arm muscles, my project was starting to take shape. Next step was to give this baby a good coating of white paint. It’s crazy how big of a difference a bit of paint can make! Next step: pizzazz.

After three years of living in this “builder basic” house, the homeowners hired Krista to help personalize it. On the agenda was adding some style to this blank 2-story wall. Before & After: Melinda & Mark Update Their Outdoor Space
When Mark and Melinda bought their home in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles in 1999, the backyard was littered with uneven, rocky terrain. The expansive backyard provided a multi-level outdoor area that boasted a killer view of the city, but, naturally, some safety concerns arose as their family began to grow. A few landscaping tricks and fixes added just enough structure to create the perfect backyard jungle, perfect for playing or hosting friends on a warm Summer evening.

We love when people add some style to utilitarian spaces. Alisha’s laundry room was making the chore even more of a drag, so with a weekend and $100, she gave the space a refresh. From Alisha: With 2 kids under 2 we do a lot of laundry – and our drab, impractical laundry room was making laundry a chore. Before & After: Coffee Cart Gets Shelved
If you’re a caffeine junkie, coffee stations are a great way to streamline your morning. Yet, Anna wasn’t jiving with her java setup. So she gave this area a free makeover by removing things and shopping her home: From Anna: The original look of our coffee station wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great either. I loved the bar cart, but the wood surfaces, brown mirror, wooden objects, and wood floor was just too much brown!

To cut costs, Gaetan chose to go with white wall tiles from Home Depot, and decided to splurge on the sink and fixtures instead.
