Pier 1 Could Be Launching a New, Urban-Focused Store
If you haven’t been in a Pier 1 Imports store recently, the company has some news that will hopefully lure you back. The retailer is reportedly considering launching a second brand. The Texas based wicker wonderland recently brought on former Kmart CEO Alistair James as their new chief executive on May 1, and he told analysts on Wednesday that the company may need to open a new concept to appeal to younger customers, reports the Star-Telegram.

This is big news, since Scripps (who owns HGTV, DIY Network, Travel Channel, Food Network, and Cooking Channel) cut ties with Netflix at the end of 2016, meaning all our fave home and garden shows started to disappear from the site. The two companies first inked a deal in 2014, when eleven shows began streaming on the platform.

McMansion Hell, a Tumblr blog that calls out bad architecture in the form of over the top suburban sprawl, has been sent a cease and desist letter from Zillow. The real estate aggregate says that the blog violates their terms of service by editing listing photos by adding commentary.
